Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Can anyone tell me how to remove the driving mirror control situated at the corner of the A-pillar at the front of the drivers-side door? Thanks

POST 2Original post

Larry, the driver's side mirror control is held in at the three points of the triangle. The bottom two points are pushed straight in. The top is a U shaped hook. Gently pull at the base. Once you have the base pulled out, lift up and the top will come out. If you are gentle and don't pull the top, you won't have a problem. I just removed mine to check. I have had it off several times with no problems. If you need me to take pictures of it off, let me know and I can post them for you. Good luck, Mark

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Mark, thanks I will take a gentle attempt at this and if I get nervous I will beg for pictures! Regards - Larry

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Mark, you rock - mission accomplished in no time at all; using the thin blade of a jewelers screwdriver I was able to 'get it started' at the bottom (no fingernails - my mother kept telling me not to bite them!) and out it popped! many thanks - Larry p.s Love Vesuvio!

POST 5Original post

Best tool for the interior is a plastic wedge (think doorstop). Works wonders, and is actually referenced in most of the Porsche tech manuals for interior trim removal.
