So I went and checked out a 2000 C4 today. During the test drive the owner waxed poetic about the limited slip differential. However, when I went to check out the options codes I did not see the 220 code. Did the C4 have an LSD or was he talking about the front rear differential. Also I was unable to run the VIN# both on carfax and on the decoder on the forums here. I haven't run a VIN# before. Is this a common thing? Does it have any significance? Anyway, the VIN# and the options codes are on the picture below (which matched the number on multiple service receipts). I'd love to get a carfax and a build sheet. I'm new to Porsche. How much effort should the clutch require. I'd say I gave it about 20-30lbs of force (about twice that of my Honda S2000). The travel did not seem particularly long and it certainly wouldn't tire me out but it was noticeably different. Thanks M

C4 wasn't available with LSD. Maybe he didn't know or ?? Can't imagine getting too excited about the center-diff; I don't think it's user adjustable like in an STI. Try this for options: https://vinanalytics.com/ Make sure you're starting with "wp0ca2" Clutch sounds on the heavy side. Has it been replaced?

Yes. It photographs well but looks even better in person. The paint is in great shape for the mileage. I don’t think it’s spent much time in the sun as the lens covers are crystal clear the interior is Savannah Beige. It’s got some wear and could use a cleaning but the leather is nice and soft. The interior exterior combo really complement each other. M
