Before everybody yells at me to use the search, the child seat models seem to be constantly changing, so even 1 year old threads aren't a help.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Before everybody yells at me to use the search, the child seat models seem to be constantly changing, so even 1 year old threads aren't a help. Anybody with recent experience as far as what baby seats work in the back of the 996?

POST 2Original post

Cosco scenera next. Just bought one ....have two installed in my C2 coupe.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Made in USA to boot. Would it work in rear facing configuration if your front passenger is 5'7"?

POST 4Original post

What age is your child? In my experience, forward-facing seats that use the normal seat belt (so from age 3-4) without isofix just fit in the rear. I regularly put my three kids in the 996 with two child seats (one rear, one front) and my oldest daughter (age 9) without a seat in the rear. They love it! Edit: sorry now I see that you were talking about baby seats. That's a little more difficult because they need more space. Good luck with the search! I've often taken my car to a baby supplies store so you can trial fit seats in the car.

POST 5Original post

+1 for the cosco scenera from Wally World. I spent an entire day trying car seats for my 3 year old son about 6 months ago when we got out 911. After Fit testing 8 car seats at Buy buy baby and another 3 at Target I headed to Walmart. After being extremely tired and feeling defeated I bought the scenera because it looked like it would fit perfectly and wasnt about to do another fit test. Got it home and boom, best fit out of anything I tried. Full disclosure, its not perfect, but after all the seats I tried its definitely the best. There is still more movement than Id like but Ive come to terms with the additional risk. Taking a utility knife to the rear shelf to uncover the latch hook thing was a pretty unnerving moment as well...
