Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Discussions that report identifying a cause
1

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Reported cause

Turned out to be a failing E-gas throttle body.

Leading evidence: 'e-gas throttle body' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'e-gas throttle body' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

21 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Unresponsive throttle from start.

You are going to have to provide more information than that. That's like saying, "Girlfriend is mad." any thoughts

POST 4Original post

If your car is e-gas, do an e-gas calibration. Move the key to on (not start) and keep foot off the throttle pedal. Wait 60 seconds and turn car off. Then see how it works.

Well if this is how he asks for things IRL then I think we've got a good insight to why she is mad

Just postin' here so that I can more easily follow this thread whilst it falls off of a cliff. Lots of random-comment single-post users here lately!

POST 11Original post

A few years ago my throttle started not responding on occasion. Engine would idle fine but sometimes would not accelerate. Turned out to be a failing E-gas throttle body. I found out by swapping one out from my friends car and problem disappeared. I bought one on-line, Bosch but not is a Porsche box for about 1/2 of the Porsche price. Problem never came back. I still have the old throttle body and when I took it apart you could see how the electric contacts were failing.

Here at 996 Porsche Forum world headquarters, research has been proceeding to develop a line of throttle products that establishes new standards for quality, technological leadership, and operating excellence. With customer success as our primary focus, work has been proceeding on the crudely conceived idea of an instrument that would not only provide inverse reactive current, for use in unilateral phase detractors, but would also be capable of automatically synchronizing cardinal grammeters. Such an instrument comprised of Dodge gears and bearings, Reliance Electric motors, Allen-Bradley controls, and all monitored by 996 forum's greatest minds, focused on the unresponsive throttle". Now, basically the only new principle involved is that instead of power being generated by the relative motion of conductors and fluxes, it’s produced by the modial interaction of magneto-reluctance and capacitive diractance. The original machine had a base plate of prefabulated amulite, surmounted by a malleable logarithmic casing in such a way that the two spurving bearings were in a direct line with the panametric fan. This coupled with IMS bearing and interference nature of the engine leads to the higher chance of load transfer and air turbulence interfering with the air current gravitation entering the combustion chamber and resulting in sticky throttle. The throttle body of the 996 consists of simply of six hydrocoptic marzelvanes, so fitted to the ambifacient lunar waneshaft that sidefumbling was effectively prevented. The main winding was of the normal lotus o-deltoid type placed in panendermic semiboloid slots of the stator, every seventh conductor being connected by a non-reversible tremie pipe to the differential girdlespring on the ‘up’ end of the grammeters. Moreover, whenever fluorescence score motion is required, it may also be employed in conjunction with a drawn reciprocation dingle arm to reduce sinusoidal depleneration. Therefore electric current interference through diffusion of the neutron energy in the static charge of air may inhibit the proper throttle response.
