Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

After using the archives and searching for a car seat for my 2-year-old to enjoy the p-car, I found that all the models in the previous dicusssion threads were no longer in production.

Or, you can remove the back portion and just use the booster and arms.

You can also remove the top portion if you just want to use the booster base.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

After using the archives and searching for a car seat for my 2-year-old to enjoy the p-car, I found that all the models in the previous dicusssion threads were no longer in production. I found a great solution after much online and retail store searching.
This is the "Fisher Price Safe Voyage Booster Seat." It retails for $79.99 but I got mine at Baby Depot for under $50. It's black and grey which works well with my black interior. It looks sporty so my son loves it. It has a nice wrap-around bolster for both the torso and head, so it's seems pretty substantial.
The issue I kept running into was the width of the base fitting in the seat. This one actually has a **** to adjust it's width as your child grows. This feature, as long as it's set in a narrow position allows it to fit easily within the back space. The back is adjustable for height as your child grows. Or, you can remove the back portion and just use the booster and arms. The seatbelt sits in a plastic guide so that it crosses your child's chest at the right level and not the neck. It also sits behind the leading edge of the seat so your child's legs are not forced to flair forward. There was even room for the otional cup holder on the outbound side of the seat. (see installed photo.)
This seat is appropriate only for toddler and larger kids. (No warranties here...) and is clearly not as good as the larger seats that strap into the car and then have a 4 or 5-place harness. But if you're looking for a sleek booster that blends into the car's design. This is the best I have found.
Two thumbs up for value and style. Hopefully the safety aspects will never be tested.
Nice job. My kids love riding in the car. Just for reference, I found that there is a comparable seat made by britax (who, not coincidentally, makes the seats for Porsche) that features a base that fits perfectly. You can also remove the top portion if you just want to use the booster base. I got mine at babies-r-us. I don't remember the cost but it was WAY cheaper than the comparable porsche unit.
A 2 year old is a bit young to be in a booster but each person makes their own choices.
If you want to stay in a proper child seat with integrated 5pt harness, the best child seat that I have found that fits perfectly in the 996 back seat is the Recaro Young Sport (just remove the tilting feature).

Edit: we ended up liking it so much that we upgraded our other cars with the Recaro model and their Side Impact features.
I've the "Fisher Price Safe Voyage Booster Seat" for my 3 year old daughter and it fits very well in the 996 (Cab in my case). To make her sit lower, I've removed all seat cushions (seat and backrest) and it still fits well. I believe the Fisher Price has the same design as the Britax at a cheaper price and the Britax model that "ScottArizona" refers to was discontinued.
I never found a 5pt harness child seat thats base fits in the 996 but I'll try the Recaro one that "pjalexandre" describes as I need a second childseat for my 18 month old boy that fits better than his current one.
I have two Britax StarRisers but they are discontinued.
Jacksonking, would suggest you take your seat cushions out... you will create a lot more space that way.
Following find details on how to do this that I posted a while ago.
