Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

As long as they are installed correctly by a trained professional.
Leading evidence: 'Install correctly by a trained professional' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'these numerous' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Install correctly by a trained professional' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Has anyone installed this product on your 996? It looks like it would install between the air box and the throttle body. With the rear spoiler raised our 996s are supposed to make a little more HP at speed due to the ram air effect. It seems like this would provide the ram air effect 100% of the time

TURBONATOR.COM, INC. DOES NOT SELL, LEASE OR SHARE ANY INFORMATION OR DATA THAT IT RECEIVES THROUGH ITS WEBSITE WITH ANY OTHER PARTY OR ENTITY. INDIVIDUAL RESULTS WILL VARY. MILEAGE CLAIMS ARE BASED ON THE REPORTS OF CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED GAINS IN MPG AFTER INSTALLING TURBONATOR VORTEX GENERATORS IN THEIR VEHICLES. PAST PERFORMANCE IS NOT NECESSARILY INDICATIVE OF FUTURE RESULTS. VARIABLES WHICH MAY IMPACT INDIVIDUAL USER EXPERIENCES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO; VEHICLE MAKE, VEHICLE MODEL, VEHICLE MODEL YEAR, ACCRUED VEHICLE MILEAGE, VEHICLE CONDITION (INCLUDING AGE AND CONDITION OF RELEVANT PARTS AND COMPONENTS), AND TIRE PRESSURE. AFTERMARKET MODIFICATIONS MADE IN CONJUNCTION WITH, BEFORE, OR AFTER THE INSTALLATION OF THE TURBONATOR SUCH AS AFTERMARKET AIR INTAKE SYSTEMS, VARIOUS BRANDS AND TYPES OF AIR FILTERS, AND PRODUCTS WHICH INFLUENCE THE AIR/FUEL MIXTURE INCLUDING PERFORMANCE CHIPS WILL ALSO INFLUENCE FUEL CONSUMPTION. VARIABLES EXTERNAL TO THE VEHICLE ITSELF SUCH AS THE PRIMARY LOCATION OF THE VEHICLE, THE TERRAIN OF SAID LOCATION, AND THE RATIO OF CITY OR STOP AND GO VERSUS HIGHWAY DRIVING REQUIRED WILL INFLUENCE INDIVIDUAL RESULTS. PERSONAL DRIVING HABITS REMAIN A CRITICAL FACTOR IN ACHIEVING OPTIMUM FUEL EFFICIENCY REGARDLESS OF VEHICLE MODIFICATIONS WHICH INCLUDE THE INSTALLATION OF ONE OR MORE TURBONATOR UNITS. ALL ELSE BEING EQUAL, A DRIVER WITH THE PROPENSITY TO ACCELERATE AND DECELERATE QUICKLY WILL NOT ACHIEVE THE SAME LEVEL OF FUEL EFFICIENCY AS A DRIVER MORE INCLINED TO ACCELERATE AND DECELERATE SMOOTHLY AND GRADUALLY. IT IS DUE TO THESE NUMEROUS BUT EXTREMELY IMPORTANT VARIABLES WHICH ARE ALL A PART OF REAL WORLD DRIVING THAT TURBONATOR MAKES AVAILABLE REPORTS FROM ACTUAL CUSTOMERS AS OPPOSED TO MAKING CLAIMS BASED ON STERILE LAB TESTING IN WHICH FEW, IF ANY, OF THE FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE FUEL CONSUMPTION ARE TESTABLE ON A PRACTICABLE LEVEL. CLAIMS RELATING TO HORSEPOWER ARE BASED ON USER FEEDBACK FROM TURBONATOR OWNERS AS WELL AS USERS OF PRODUCTS WITHIN THE TURBONATOR CLASS OF PRODUCTS REFERRED TO HERE AND THROUGHOUT TURBONATOR.COM AS NON-MOVING VORTEX GENERATORS. HORSEPOWER GAINS WILL VARY BASED ON A NUMBER OF FACTORS INCLUDING THE TYPE OF VEHICLE, THE AGE OF THE VEHICLE, AND OTHER AFTERMARKET CHANGES MADE TO THE VEHICLE. NO REPRESENTATION IS BEING MADE THAT ANY PARTICULAR VEHICLE AND DRIVER WILL OR IS LIKELY TO ACHIEVE GAINS IN HORSEPOWER OR FUEL EFFICIENCY SIMILAR TO THOSE REPORTED BY PREVIOUS CUSTOMERS. IN FACT, SUBSEQUENT USERS MAY EXPERIENCE SHARP DIFFERENCES IN THE PERFORMANCE THEY ACHIEVE AS COMPARED TO THOSE RESULTS PREVIOUSLY REPORTED.
Translation..........SNAKE OIL.
Christ, these people say right there in the disclaimer that their HP number are taken directly from customer claims rather than lab testing.
CosmosC4S WTF makes someone a spammer. I have a C4s in seal grey so don't bother with the superiority complex. Ray S there were allot of useful responces if you think I just blew my first post your attitude sucks. Its too bad a few ***holes have to diminish the value of this forum for a new member. Many thanks to the other folks who took the tme to answer.
I'm not jumping on anyone's side here, but the assumption could be made since there were 0 previous posts and since your first post talks about a product, that spam could be a possibility. We have all seen it happen here many times. I don't think he meant anything personal by saying that.
Actually, what Ray S meant was that he blew his first post by not showing us pics of his Porsche. Note that he informs Tim, the Noob picture watch dog.. Hence blowing the post has nothing to do the Terminator or spamanator or turbonator or whatever the hell it is.
Funny name this turbonator ... for some reason it brings "detonator" to my mind ...
And oh, welcome to the forum. Now lets have some snaps of the beautiful C4s you have ... it's an obligatory part of the welcome. BTW, its not for "proof" but for appreciation....
Apexhntr, welcome to this merry place. Don't get so excited.
We can be a pretty friendly group, but when someone posts with no introduction asking about a snake oil product it is easy to assume someone is a troll or spammer.
Post up some pics, give us a little intro and you will find we are a pretty good group of guys. We have our moments and topics can occasionally get a little heated. However, it's all good because most here have one thing in common.........we love Porsches!!
As Robert indicated, Tim is our self-appointed "greeter" (he sidelines here when he's not handing out carts at Wal-Mart) who usually welcomes new posters to the board. He obviously performs this with more tact and grace than I do (jk about the Wal-Mart thing Tim, and chop/chop with the greeting. I obviously suck at it
).
apexhntr...IF you are a genuine member, my humble apologies and I owe you a beer.
The way you come on here without an intoduction, and asking about a "joke" and an inferior product that has been proven NOT to work....you do seem like a spammer. The way you use your words strategically about the product is just suspicious.
You know what? I still have doubts...time will tell, I'm sorry but I have seen many spamming activity just like this, I also hope I'm wrong about you.
Oh btw...don't "WTF" me, be a gentleman. If someone walked straight into your house and said the same thing you did, "Turbonator", without an introduction or a HI, what would you think?? And FYI, I do not have superiority here, there are too many above me.
Turbonator might fit these:
1968 Honda Z50
1970 Honda CT70
1975 Honda TL250 trials
2004 KTM 950 Adventure
2005 Montesa 4RT
2006 KTM EXC 450 racing
2007 MS4RS
x 100
by the way if you are a new "member" introduce yourself WITH PICTURES please
I know all P-cars look alike...but it is kind of nice. I didn't see any harm in the turbonater question to be honest.
Funny thing is that I have a few "Popular Mechanics" magazines from 1942/43 and in the back, there are ads for an identical product. Hard to believe it's been around that long. Btw, the ad was right next to the one for X-ray specs.
OK, I am a car nut so that is why I joined in. I actually do have thick skin but having worked in a NY county hospital sometimes you have to throw it back when someone reads you wrong. That being said the C4S has 33K miles and has been to 4 track days. The C4S has Sirius radio hard wired into the becker head unit, full carbon fiber, dansk headers, sport exhaust/cut out switch, rear spoiler activation utilizes the turbo dash switch, turbo front spoiler, chrome turbo twist wheels, hard wired beartracker scanner, escort SRX radar detector/laser jammer, hidden garage door opener window tint and 3M clear bra.

As has been discovered there are also some bikes in the garage as well. I hope to inquire about chip tuning but will let that go for another time. No hard feelings towards CosmosC4S and Ray S. The photo is not the best but its pretty late. Hope to get to know you folks better soon.
Ok, the "Turbonator" serves as an obstruction in the intake and little else. Any obstruction placed in an intake will reduce the volume of air available to the motor, hence it's BS.

Nice!
APEXHNTR, Welcome to Rennlist! My humble apologies to you, and if you do come south this way, stop by and I will buy you the beer I owe you!
Oh, nice C4S...
Guys, I'm sorry I got to this "party" so late. Yesterday was a 14-hour workday and was too tired to join in the fun!
I guess it is a little late for the "TIM-INATOR" to harass a "newbie" for no intro or pics!
APEXHNTR - Welcome to Rennlist, the best Porsche site on the 'net! Thanks for the intro and thanks for sharing the pic of your nice looking P-car!
I also want to apologize for my fellow Rennlisters that haven't mastered the art of properly welcoming "newbies" like I have. Usually I just mention something
very low key
like "an intro would be nice" and "we would like to see pics of your car." Here is a sample of a warm welcome I gave to another "newbie" recently.
WHAT??? No intro and no pics??? WTF - do you think you are on a BMW site?? Come on, "NEWBIE" introduce yourself and post some %)^&$*!% PICS!
See, that wasn't so bad, was it? BTW - just in case you can't tell, this is all in jest! I do have a reputation to uphold!
APEXHNTR - Seriously, welcome to Rennlist. We really ARE a bunch of good guys and gals!
