Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi My 2002 996 C4 top frame support which links the top frame to the body is broken! The part number is 99756194400 and was discontinued and replaced for 99756194400. I have either to glue it with some kind of super glue or replace it. Can anybody tell me if this is a diy job and if there is any post about it? Or an tutorial? Thanks

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I googled it , but perhaps the wrong way, no tutorials or foruns..... But if you got something, I would appreciate Regards

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Thanks, but the main issue is not getting the part, it is not that expensive, the point is to know if I can replace it my self , and if there is any tutorial or video about replacing it, I talked to a friend that works in a dealership, and he said that the replacement of the part was easy, but it required a lot of disassembling....

POST 6Original post

Yes you can, but make sure it doesn't happen again. It's very probable that mice entered your top frame support and chewed on it until it broke. Mice are bad and reek havoc on these cars...especially convertibles.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No, the part is in antimony , and it's not chewed....just broke!
