Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just had a set of Vogtland springs installed on what was a bone stock 2002 996 Targa.... What an improvement!! Now evenly lower by approx 1.5 inches, tighter, a bit firmer but somehow more comfortable than stock and they've eliminated allot of the head shaking that I was feeling/hearing through the glass Targa top. They cost $300 US and even look great in deep red. Much improved ride, highly recommended springs for a 996 Targa. Just thought I would share!

POST 3Original post

yes.... pics of the new ride would be GREAT!!!!! but why them, why not eibach, H&R, techart......? what made you choose them?

POST 4Original post

Pics.... did someone say pics??? (mumbles to self: &*%^$!# Newbies, hardly EVER post pics!!!)

POST 5Original post

does anyone know if these springs are nicer then the H&R or Eibach?

POST 6Original post

oh yes... pics would be nice to have too....... before and after pls......

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Pics are forthcoming, just need it to stop snowing! I went with the Vogtland because after researching the vaious options, they were the only ones that were consistantly receiving positive and similar reviews. They're also very popular with Porsche owners in Germany... an obvious plus.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Have faith! Once the snow melts I'll post hourly pictoral updates!

POST 9Original post

Hell, your in CANADA! I could be dead before the snow melts up there!!!

POST 10Original post

thanks r13... the ride is much nicer then stock huh? does it look like the car is too lowered?

POST 11Original post

Ya show some pics Just wondering, if you only change the springs, how does this affect the rest of the stock suspension system?

POST 12Original post

it adds more stress to the stocks and eventually you'll need to change them out.....
