I would bet that since he raced a GT3 Cup car, he is probably a member of this site or PCA.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys, I just spotted an early style GT3 aero kit on e-bay that appears to be the genuine Porsche parts. The minimum bid on the tail is $500, the front bumper $500, and the side skirts are currently at $150+. I really want this body kit for my car; however, I need to upgrade my suspension more. Someday...meanwhile I'll have to experience it vicariously by drooling over all the beautiful modified 911s that my fellow Rennlisters own.

POST 3Original post

MFletch, I would make sure its OEM Porsche part, specially the front bumper. The OEM GT3 from bumper is very flexible and will take beating/bending. Aftermarket are fiberglass or other britle composite mat'l., besided needing lots of work for painting(more paint labor $$$), they crack easily because(like I said) they're not made of flexible composite that porsche uses. You'll be happy too with the fit and finish of the oem pieces.

POST 4Original post

The wing was used and damaged, came from a race car. The skirts are not real. The front end claimed to be real but I'd be very suspicous as that's a $2500 part.

POST 5Original post

Ebay is such a scam these days...... I just saw copies of the gt fins called diffusor and it appears to glue on the car. There are a bunch of crap peddlars..............

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi again, I just wanted to let you know that I posted this thread because I wanted so see someone else snag a bargain that I really should not buy. I have no interest in these parts. I stated that they appeared to be genuine...he shows pictures of the genuine Porsche part numbers on the back of each part. The seller states that the wing came off his GT3 cup car. I thought that was pretty cool. The seller has 40 transactions with 100% approval. It doesn't get any better than that. I would bet that since he raced a GT3 Cup car, he is probably a member of this site or PCA. This body kit sells new for close to $5,000...rest assured that if nobody else bids on it, I will have some explaining to do to my wife, because it will be sitting in my garage. PLEASE, save me from myself. The mod bug has bit me hard. In 51 transactions, I have only had two negative experiences on e-bay. I'm sure that many of you will recognize the name of one of them, Hani Emery or 1_bad_GT2 or Dendodliewa. I only lost a couple of hundred dollars, but I saved thousands. I could not have put my car back together without e-bay. I know that I have bought numerous Porsche parts off e-bay from members of this site, I'm very greatful. Porsche people are awesome!

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just saw this aero kit for sale in the rennlist classified section by a member.

POST 9Original post

Guys, Im selling the GT3 aerokit on E-bay. All the parts are genuine and accurately described on the site. And yes, if they go for the current price, someone will get an incredible bargain. Hopefully M3killa is just trying to scare everyone else away from the parts so he can snag them for himself. Shrewd tactic. Read about my last project car in the Feb. issue of Excellence if youre still a doubter. The articles called, Full Circle. Read all the way to the end, and youll know why I had to clear out the garage. Hank Cohn

POST 10Original post

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Porsche Smile, If you don't, I'll have some explaining to do.....Hopefully wifey understands. Mark.

POST 12Original post

Hey Mark.... i'll try to save you on explaining to your wife....... don't want you killed....... who else is going to watch our back when it comes to ebay......?

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hank, I just re-read the article on your 993RS. What an incredible project car! Congratulations on a job well done. I could not imagine parting with a GT3 cup car. Now I understand. I also thoroughly enjoy doing project cars, it's addictive. Good luck with your future projects. If nobody saves me from myself, you'll be hearing from me soon via e-bay. Mark.

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Porsche Smile, I'm counting on you to save me from myself. I need more power and handling before I get an aero kit. I want to hit the track this spring. Good luck and thanks for watching my back.... I hope you keep the hood pins.

POST 15Original post
