Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 2Original post

I suppose it is a ZF transmission your car has. you can look up ZF specifications for compatible ATF and should be fine. Here is a list from ZF, look for the 5hp19 type of transmission https://www.zf.com/global/media/en_zf/lubricantslists/TE-ML_11.pdf I believe Esso LT71141 is the Porsche spec ATF

POST 3Original post

Titan ATF 3353. (edit) I have a 2002, so as Silk explained below this is not the right ATF fluid for a 2001 which has a different transmission.

POST 4Original post

I would not use the Titan 3353 in the ZF transmission. The 3353 is an ATF for the Benz 722.6 transmission which was used in 996 models from 2002-2005 and in the TT. However most probably it would work too I would stick with ZF approved alternatives. Off topic: The Titan 3353 is followed up by the newer Titan 4134 which was specifically designed for transmissions with lock up clutch. For the Benz transmissions to use this newer Fuchs 4134. when I was looking around for my transmission problems and a possible rebuild I spoke to a reputable shop that said they even preferred Mobil 134 over the Titan 4134. Back on topic: "What type of fluid do you use in your automatic transmission? The Carrera requires a special type of fluid that you cannot easily find in most auto parts stores, the part number for the 1998-2005 is 000-43-207-00 and the 2005-2008 is 000-043-304-01 . The Carrera also can use off-the-shelf Esso LT 71141 for the 1998-2001 and ATF 3353 Plus for the 2002-2005" Source: Pelican Parts So the Esso LT 71141 or Fuchs ATF 5005 are the ones to look for.
