Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

So these are nice, quiet tires with patterns adjusted for noise cancellation.
Leading evidence: 'Adjust noise cancellation' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust noise cancellation' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I just installed the TOYO Proxes T1Rs...LOVE THEM!

I tested various different settings and tire pressures but without improvement.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Looks fugly to me. Looks like they have mated two different patterns down the middle. Also, when it comes to tires I chose quality and performance before looks.
I would counter and say that they are complete rubbish! I was sponsored by Toyo at one stage and they wanted me to try the T1R on my roadcar, the GT3. These tires stayed on the car for less than 2 weeks as it became undriveable due to the tires.
I wouldn't have given them to you even if I still had them (returned to Toyo) as I consider them unsafe/fit for a car like the 996. The only thing they are good for are as part of tirewall around a track.
I just looked at a presentation on the manufacturer's website about its engineering process. At one point, they say that "a top priority was maintaining the [tire] design without compromising performance."
Apparently it is not a tire, it is art in the shape of a tire.
You can't make this stuff up.
Tire Van I take it? I have been hearing a lot about them recently. How do you like them? Please let me know your impressions of price and service.
Thanks in advance,
Pete
if any of you guys live in the mount prospect area head over to the discount tires on rand road. i work there (as a technican) so i can try and get you a deal on some rubber and even if i can't i would love to meet some fellow porsche owners (when ever i see some on the road i always wave but i just get blank looks... i don't get it)
What was your issue with the Toyos? I've only heard good things, including from some club racers, and I like them so far. Haven't been on the track with them yet though.
Who knows if there is anything wrong with them. Personally I like the engineering approach towards noise cancellation. Need more info on how they perform in rain, dry pavement and on the track.
I've had the t1r's on for the last 7K and am happy, I haven't done any track only auto X. The only thing I have to compare the to on the 996 are contis.
I felt that the sidewall of the T1R was too soft and not capable of handling the load of the GT3 chassi and the car behaved very "squirmy". I tested various different settings and tire pressures but without improvement. I am however very pleased with the R compund RA1 and R888 from Toyo.
I see. I look forward to my first event with the new tires. However, I probably won't be driving as hard as you were, not to mention I don't have a GT3, so these tires should outperform the Contis I have been running.
