This is used for the extra cable from the child seat as to not allow it to go forward.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I just returned from overseas and my daughter is now big enough to go for a ride but I need a 20+ lbs child seat. I remember there being a thread a year or so ago about child seats but I couldn't find it. Does anyone know what seat will fit that is not the Porsche brand? I think someone had posted Britax but what model?
I have used Eddie Bauer seats in mine. Fit great but with a high back. When looking pick the one with the smallest base. It helps to remove your seat cushion.
I have an Eddie Bauer one as well...there is a thread with one of our Rennlisters that compared 15 seats!

R u guys using just the seatbelt to hold the child seat in place?

Anyone install it/use it?
I think its mandatory in Canada.
The britex model is discontinued but Fisher-Price has the same model under a different name for $80. I took the complete back seat cushions out and it fits well in my Cab. I do only use the seat belt to hold the child seat, even in my SUV.
Child Seat - Fisher Price
Britax roundabout model, with the adjustable/angled base removed fits very well and has a top guide/tether to the 996 tether point (under the back shelf carpet).
For the law of 4years old AND 40 pounds (both need to be met), get a Britax Starriser (sp?) if you can find one. Same as the Porsche OEM booster minus the shut off for the airbag.
Removing the rear seat bases is a big help IMHO.
Good luck.

I use the Graco comfort sport for my 2 year old son. It has narrow base which is perfect for the rear seat bottoms. Less than $100..Available at Target and Toys R Us.
Only the coupes have the anchor. For the cab you have to put that strap behind the car seat before you tighten down with the seat belt. The seat belat work great. Pull it out all of the way so it locks then feed it back in...it helps to sit/kneel on the car seat.
