Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Outcome without a verified action link

I later jiggled, tried to retract it more and eventually it gave way and went back to normal.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The title says it all, it's retracted and won't extend. Passenger side. I've tried pulling at different angles, no help. HELP! Bob

POST 2Original post

My driver side did that in the middle of a long trip. Bummer. I finally just connected the passenger belt in the driver side so the darn bell would quit. I later jiggled, tried to retract it more and eventually it gave way and went back to normal. Maybe a common-but-rare event? I have no idea what caused it. It has not happened again. YMMV

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

There can't be just two of us to experience this problem! I've been jiggling and pulling and pushing the belt with no relief. It looks like a big job to pull the interior apart to access the retractor, is that my only solution? Bob
