Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

To get it going I used a heavy duty jump starter (600+ CCA).
Leading evidence: 'Use heavy duty jump starter (600+ cca)' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'battery was good' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check fuel pressure' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suggestion
If the amps it is pulling doesn't change on the charger after running a charge cycle, it has at least one dead cell.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I got home about an hour ago and jumped the car and it worked.
my car has been in the garage since thursday night. Saturday night i moed it so i could fit a friends car in the garage as well. This morning it was fairly cold in the garage & the 911 would not start, however it does turn over. I plugged in and turned on a small electric heater I had forgotten about this morning before I went to work. I placed the heater about 3.5 feet behind the rear of the car. It has an auto setting that I turned it to and left it on for the day. It was brutally cold over the weekend, with temperatures ranging from about 10 below to 10 degrees. Just a few minutes ago, I tried to start the car again when I returned home from work with no luck and received the same results from this morning. Does anyone have any suggestions what might be wrong????
Thanks in Advance for any help,
Mark
ps. I tried to search to see if I could find this as a problem, and after I submitted every search all I received was a blank page on my MacBook Pro.
Quite freuquentl, when you start a fuel injected engine and shut it down quickly, you will flood the engine with fuel. Sitting overnight should clear up the flooding, tho. Do get any gas smell when you try to start it or any attempt at firing?
With the high compression engine, you need little engine cranking for it to kick over.
How do I check the fuel pressure? The car sat overnight and still has the same problem. I will take a look at the fuses and try to jump start it when I get home.
Most likely the battery WAS good. Cold can very easily kill a battery. If it is cranking slowly, this is the first sign. I've had a couple good batteries die in a good cold spell. Get a battery charger. Hook it up and look at the amps it is pulling. Most likely you battery will be down. If so, run the charger for an hour to start. If it starts, you know. If the amps it is pulling doesn't change on the charger after running a charge cycle, it has at least one dead cell.
Gas was 2/3+ of a tank & the clock did not restart. The car would crank when the key was turned, but just would not start. I got home about an hour ago and jumped the car and it worked. I then took it to pick up my son and when I left their the car started fine. We are ood for now. I had no idea that the cold temps could mess with a battery. Now that I can relax a little, it is time for a nice glass of Crown Royal Reserve on ice!!
