Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'Run away' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Run away' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

... my patience. I'm a couple months away, but have started the search for a low mileage, well optioned 2002 or 2003 silver cab over grey interior. I'm glad I've got the time to properly research options, slowly gauge the market and start looking at cars, but I gotta admit, spending an hour or two on this site drooling over your rides is killing me!
This site is great, and in fact was a tremendous resource during my search for and ownership of my former 993 (purchased by a fellow rennlister by the way). I'd post a link to his post with pictures, but don't have the requisite posts yet (don't remember my old ID/PW).
I still kick myself for selling it. Don't want to start a 993 vs. 996 fight
, but IMHO, short of an exotic, the best looking car ever made. That said, the convertible top was a pain in the @$$.
Anyway, can't wait for the 996!
Too right! If anyone had told me that I'd buy an expensive car, then make it more expensive by continuing to buy stuff to put on it I'd have told them they were insane.... I'm telling you it's a conspiracy... they lure you in, then hook you into mods.... run away!!!!
I've now lost track of how much I've spent.
Kevin - welcome to the Porsche Phunny Pharm. Since you don't have a P-car (996) yet, I won't hit you up for pics.... yet! However, I'll keep my eye on you and once you announce that you have purchased a 996, I'll give you a couple of days before I start hounding you for pics!
Seriously, good luck on your search and let us know if we can help in any way. Again, WELCOME!
what do you mean Dell...not good for the wallet
......mine is so light, because of this site it is much easier to carry around..what the hell: I can leave it t home!!
But I got some great mods!
man....my wallet is light, my credit cards are cut up (b.c it's maxed out) and my wife is made as hell........all i have now is my p-car, and miles of road ahead...........thanks rennlist.....
Thanks folks for the welcome and words of encouragement, will definately keep you posted. I've driven a friend's 996 (almost bought it a year ago actually), and the 993 is much more raw. IMO, the 996 is a much better balance for a daily driver.
Let's try it again, pics of the 993...

Agreed, a properly set up 993 is amazing looking and gets plenty of comments. For the 996, Porsche IMO chose to tone down the enterior lines and focused on modernizing the interior. They also cleaned up the convertible top folding mechanism to give the car better lines when it is retracted.
