Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi. I just bought a used machine. Let's just say, PPI issues, car, tire install, work, and such went super smoothly. I don't want anyone to think I am associated with them at all, I am not. Just an honest operation. Just drove the car for two days straight. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing car. Ah, dream car in garage. Quick question: I have a Belkin IPOD fm gadget that fits in the cigarette lighter....it charges and FM sends. It doesn't seem to go off when i turn off the car and remove the key....and batteries have a funny way of dying in these cars. If one wanted to leave it in all the time, is there a fix? Does anyone have a cigarette power "switch" if you know what I mean...to specifically turn it off (or another, better Ipod product)". TIA Ask for Ray. jcb

POST 2Original post

Congrats on the new car! Post pics, please. Where's Bossi's? I live in the city proper and would like to find an independent. CP

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Bossi's is a small garage that does general repairs...I dealt with Ray in sales and his partner, John, the main mechanic. Very nice guys. Ray was superb. They are in Winchester at 12 Swanton St. I drove about 400 miles to get the car...fun drive back. Got a bit lost in Woburn, but got some amazing pizza. Car is "wow" ... "wow" .... I had a 1995 993C4 with a 3.8L engine, chip, exhaust, 3pc wheels, turboS body kit...this car kills that car. I am sorry, but the newer car's torque is not to be believed (TT). http://images.autotrader.com/images/..._A.562x421.jpg http://images.autotrader.com/images/..._A.562x421.jpg

CP, I go to Autobahn Performance. They are right up RT 1. Takes about 15min from by place in Back Bay. They installed a ROW M30 for me, and have done some numerous general maint. things - prepared my car for some track days. They are also a preferred Tire Rack installer. They do very good work and are fairly priced. AP

POST 5Original post

Bossi's is not a P-car specialist shop...the sales end covers Porsche well as the clients served are P-car owners. It is a good shop. JB

POST 6Original post

Thanks for the input, all. AP - what's your parking situation? There's a 996 Carerra Cab that often lives on the street near me. I intended to do that, but I just couldn't . So I rent a spot in an underground garage that I can't really afford.
