As some of you know, I got a double whammy this am when I both got a flat and realized my amps were dwindling. I was checking on ebay for a matching tire, but instead I saw a person from my town selling a complete set of winter tires and rims. I thought they may work for winter and 17's would be better in snow than the wider 18's. But I am just concerned about the different offsets.

This has been discussed before but I can't remember the thread or title. You might want to search for it. Regardless, the size you need in order to fit is: 8x17 et55 FRONT 8.5x17 et 50 or 9x17 et55 REAR Tire size will be: 205/50/17 FRONT 255/40/17 REAR

Thanks Dell, there is another thread going about winter tires that got bumped after I posted my question. There is a guy who said some people like the Boxster 17's for winter tires. I went to the place and bought the set of 4 Contisport Winter's with 90% tread with 4 turbolook 17's for $350. They have already put them on at the shop. I love the internet....
