Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The 40th has been retired from this duty to be replaced by a 78SC that is still in the shop getting ready for the track season.

My last wheels were the Fikse FM10's and now with the K28's, I've had my share with cleaning intricate designed wheels.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I love those wheels Mike. Had them on an Audi S4 before my 911. I think they would look awesome on the Porsche, I just wanted something different this time and went with OZ'z. For the price they are some of the best looking fully forged light wheels out there.
Dell & CT03911,
Yes those ones. Thanks. I heard that they're the closest you could get to the full blown light weight magnesium race wheels. I just want to see how they look like on the 996
Thanks guys! I just realized too that I have an awesome picture of them right in my framed collection in the garage, but its an M3. I'm in Canada right now, but when I get back home in a week, I'll scan and post it here.
I want to get a new set, but my top PRIs are light weight, ease of cleaning(i.e 5 spoke style) and keeping the track look(not blingy!!) But the track look is hard to find to have ease of cleaning at the same time
the LM, REs gives the track look but very hard to clean
what a dilema I'm in...eigh
The C22 (competetion series) of HRE is very close! Only have six spokes, light and have the track look(I think) specially if I have the centers done in black.
Picture below is not the best one Ive seen on the M3s. I have a picture of a red M3 that's simply awesome. I'll scan it next week and post it here.
You're right Dell, I thought he had the RE but its the gunpowder GT' RS ones.
Mike,
I was going to go with the RE's in the beginning with the 996 due to the lightweight factor but I couldn't live without a nice lip on my wheels.
I ended up with the Kinesis K28's, one of my favorite wheels for the streets. If I could do it again, I would go with the F110's for the streets.
I've seen polished K18's on a 964 RSA and the look is stunning.
Mike,
I can't upload any bigger pictures. The Rennlist site does not have me listed as member even though I am paid up until April 2008!
I'll send you several by e-mail.
The BBS RE's are great looking and lightweight. I bought mine from TireRack.
The inner lip of the left front wheel rubbed the helper spring perch of my PSS9's. I was running almost 2 degrees of negative camber at the time. This was cured by taking off the helper springs. They were fully compressed with the car on the ground so I saw no use for them on the road. The main springs were secured so that they would stay in place when the car was put on a lift.
The BBS RE's are a gorgeous wheel. They are very easy to clean. The only negative thing I have to say is that they look small on the 996 versus the Carrera 5 spoke wheels.
I did not use spacers to fill out the wheel wells.
The F110 has a nice lip and they look sharp. I like the simple design with a nice sharp lip, plus it'll be easier to clean.
My last wheels were the Fikse FM10's and now with the K28's, I've had my share with cleaning intricate designed wheels.
Eric, If you email me the full size of those awesome pictures above of your car with the REs on, I'd greatly appreciate it!! and I'll post them for you here! Thanks man!!
Talk about light!!
//By the way, I just passed by your turf early this evening coming from Canada... man...!!!! that 95 south was horrendous..1.5 hours of crawling
I just realized from this
http://www.bbs-usa-appguide.com/publ...el_summary.cfm
that the wheels on that M3 are CH not RE! But they sure look the same except for the engraving around the lug bolt area
I got them from a fellow PCA member that was down in your part of town, Richmond. They were used but were still in good shape. Paid too much for them used though....
Ah, the good old days! The 40th has been retired from this duty to be replaced by a 78SC that is still in the shop getting ready for the track season.
I can't wait to get back on the track in February and Sears Point.
Damn Eric, I didn't even realize that that's a 40th!!! I thought you put on a turbo bumper
Wow, I wonder how it runs on the track... I've never seen one the track before and I've been to 3 DEs with my 993.
