So when I take the car in should I tell them to look at the hydraulics first, or will they troubleshoot before replacing clutch.

I did read about bleeding clutch and replacing slave cylinder, or does it seem that my clutch is gone?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Started '03 this morning and immediately noticed that something wasn't right with my clutch. It has always felt tight and springy, but today it's loose and seems to pause halfway when I let clutch out. Depressing clutch is alot easier to do today than yesterday. I also feel a slight shudder under my foot when it's on the clutch, at the moment I release clutch and put foot on gas. Power seems to be O.K., and clutch feels worst when starting from stop. Did a search but did not find any specific help. I did read about bleeding clutch and replacing slave cylinder, or does it seem that my clutch is gone? Thanks.
I just drove the car and gunned it in 3rd, and the revs increased and my speed stayed relatively the same. Does this mean that my clutch is definitely gone or it probably is gone? Could it possibly be something else?
So when I take the car in should I tell them to look at the hydraulics first, or will they troubleshoot before replacing clutch. I'm amazed how fast the clutch went. There was no problems whatsoever yesterday.
I went through the same thing. They checked my slave master cyl first as well as tried a bleed and nothing worked. They they called me back to check out the clutch when they opened the case. Totally fried! New clutch AND flywheel. Ouch!
you can destoy a clutch in under minute, its not unusla for them to fail sunndenly.
It really cant be a hydroloic issue if the clutch is slipping
and no matter what anyone else says it has nothign to do with the release lever
(unless you problem is, I just had the trans out and now my clutch is slipping because i didnt propelry reinsall the lever )
