Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 2Original post

Leather cleaner like Lexol and an interior brush. Scrub it clean.

POST 4Original post

I use Zaino leather cleaner, then you could use Zaino leather conditioner.

POST 5Original post

I don't know what steering wheel you have (stock leather?) If so then riad has got it right!

POST 7Original post

Stop eating KFC in the car What the others have said. I just used Lexol cleaner and conditioner. My wheel looks like new at 42,000 miles. Andreas

POST 8Original post

First clean it off with a 25/75 mixture of Simple Green (be sure to get the back side where the real finger jelly is), let dry, and then buff the leather with a cotton cloth. Finally feed the wheel with the leather food/conditioner of your choice. It will then look like new.
