I think I just used a pick or a very small screw driver to get in there and just pry a little bit around the edges while pulling.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

As an extension of my earlier post on my frunk release (solved) I need to remove my seats to pull and dry the carpets. I have the seats unbolted, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to disconnect the wiring harness. It's heated seats, manual front/back, with power back tilt. A single wide black plug, but I'm not seeing side tabs or any obvious way of disconnecting this.

POST 2Original post

I seem to remember having this issue when I removed my seats to recover them. I think I just used a pick or a very small screw driver to get in there and just pry a little bit around the edges while pulling. Also, make sure you dont turn your ignition on when either seat is unplugged! It will trigger the airbag light and you will have to take to a shop to clear it, or have one of the very select few scanners/readers that will reset SRS lights on a 1999 Porsche 911

POST 3Original post

This is a slide mechanism. You can't just pull them apart. There is a plastic catch that you pull perpendicular to the cables that then pushes the connector apart. I will get pictures and come back to this. OK, here is a great video that shows how the connector comes apart at 3:04. POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

YEA! That's exactly what I was looking for. I originally did find that perpendicular slider on the clip, but didn't realize it pulled even further out to disengage the clip for easy removal.
