I have checked almost all the posts but I can't understand where is the emergency cable for a boxster 2002, on the right or left side, as looking from the car.Can I get some help?

The Bentley Porsche Boxster Service manual has it located in the right front fender, this is the passenger side fender in USA cars.

There are three emergency release cables, one for the frunk located usually under the front passenger side headlight (remove headlight to find it); one for the engine lid located underneath the drivers side rear light; and one for the fuel filler lid located on the front door pillar near the top of the passenger side door frame. Good stuff to know. And as I always remind 996 owners - to save yourself an enormous amount of time and frustration, find the frunk release cable while you have easy access to the trunk and relocate it to just inside the front bumper tow hook plug. You will be glad you did.

Thank you guys for your help. I opened the trunk with the emergency cable, located, as you told me on the passenger side. Took off the wheel, then the plastic cover and .... it was there! Thank you again for your advices, were great!
