Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

20 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I had my 996 modified at Jacquemond, in France ( I m french) with a 997 SportLook set. I m very pleased of their job, the car looks younger, with those 997 front lights. Then, for european owners, you can bring your car there to have a facelift, or for the US owners, you can order parts that will be shipped to you or your body shop to be fit on your car. I m really fond of this wide body set ( my car is the grey one of the website ). Moreover olivier Jacquemond now offers a new set "total" with 997 tail lights, wide front fenders, rear wide fenders. They are still producing parts for 928. I have see in real the Orange ( clockwork one ) which is FABULOUS in real. Then, you can be sure jacquemond.com is a good address to deal with !!! All the staff, and mainly olivier are pleasant men. bye, from hot france ! H.

POST 7Original post

just found out the 997 face lift works for boxster. now i need to get a front-damaged boxster for 5K, then do the face lift. i will have a 997 boxster! one of kind!

POST 8Original post

That stuff looks really nice, but can the fit and finish be as good as the factory's? How do you get the rear wheels out far enough to fill those wider rear fenders? How does all that fudging around effect the suspension? Tres beau mais est-ce qu'il marche bien?

POST 9Original post

I don't think he said he was affiliated with that site, rather just expressing he was happy with the work done.

POST 10Original post

If that wasn't an advertisement from someone with 1 post then I don't know what is.

POST 11Original post

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just go and get a real 997? I like this work of course and it looks nice, but it would seem that is would be just as effective to trade in 996 for a 997 if you want a 997.

POST 12Original post

I think you missed the point of Riad's post. Refer to Dell's subsequent post.

POST 13Original post

DUHHH of course the first post is advertising......Lowside you must be Canadian to be so gullible.

POST 15Original post

There is a company in San Diego offering the 996/Boxster - 997 coversion! Not sure I really see the point - but if people will buy it... You're looking at nearly $4k in new panels, plus a whole list of 997 parts from Porsche, and the bodyshop on top of that. Chris.

POST 16Original post

??? Riad ??? I was actually confirming your statement...not doubting it like lowside did....

POST 17Original post

I read sarcasm where I shouldn't have, my apologies.

POST 18Original post

ooo la la, but that is for sure un le "free ad," Le Dude. Or, it could be titled, "What my Boxster looked like after I left it unattended on a NYC street for 15 minutes." Le Poo.

POST 20Original post

I think the conversion could make sense after a front end accident. The aftermarket conversion parts are cheaper than OEM 996/boxster parts, the car gets a new (better?) look, and in the long term the prices of 996/boxster are going down anyway so the car's originality won't have much influence on the future price.
