Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Themselves...........Looking for pointers on the R&R, mine has developed the standard "leak".............

POST 2Original post

I did the removal and install 2 weeks ago. Make sure you remove the air pump completely, remove the 2 fuel line connections to get more room and when you have the tank loose from its mount, remove the coolant level sensor. When you replace the tank, make sure the level sensor is put in first (may sound strange) before you try to get the tank back in. If the job goes the way mine did, the tank will go in quicker than it came out.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks man.........what was the ET on the job?

POST 4Original post

I did mine in a little less that 2 hours. Would have gone quicker if I had put the level sensor in first.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Cool........time to get the tank.

POST 6Original post

Replace the tank cap also. Make sure you get one from Porsche.

POST 7Original post

Also the nut mounted in rubberfor the air pump may fall off it is a $2 part. The rubber disintegrated on mine.

POST 8Original post
