Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

26 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Generation: 20261026T172408Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

If so do the roll over bars pop?

POST 2Original post

Never hit Shenandoah......so I can't answer that. God, I hope I never heard those shotguns go off! From what I hear it is one scary BANG!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyway to manually release them?

POST 4Original post

HMMMMM. I am thinking the dealer would have to do that. Somebody posted this in a thread recently. I thought it was here. Standby and let me see if I can find it............

POST 5Original post

Damnit! I remember reading about that but forgot what thread. I need to run back through my posts. Gimme another minute

POST 6Original post

Couldn't find it. Maybe it was over at Renntech.org try posting there. Loren has more answers than Encyclopedia Britanica! Let me know what you find out. It would be nice to have them in the up position. Kinda like proactive safety!

POST 8Original post

Says nothing in the manual about manually releasing them. Does your p39-40 say something that the rest of ours doesn't???

POST 9Original post

Here is the original Thread with the answer in post #19. Looks like it is on a different page depending on your model year. https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ight=roll+bars

POST 10Original post

Already seen (and been a part of that thread), but....... That states how to retract them NOT extract them.

POST 11Original post

Wouldn't the "retract procedure" followed in reverse, allow you to extend them?

POST 12Original post

not to my knowledge. in the down postion the last thing you want to do is have your hand down there fiddling around with that cannon about to explode!

POST 13Original post

LOL, totally misread what he meant by "retract"

POST 15Original post

1) find a REALLY big hill 2) build a ramp, preferably out of steel, although plywood and lumber might work too.... 3) drive down hill at ramp as fast as you can 4) enjoy the rollbars popping 5) brace for impact 6) realize it was a bad idea 7) exit vehicle, hunt Brett down for his stupid suggestion.

POST 17Original post

That sounds like so many adventures in my childhood, albeit with less sophisticated technology.

POST 19Original post

I've seen an independant shop set off the rollbars. I thought they controlled it via computer. Can't remember how they were retracted. Given the .000??? seconds they take to deploy, I'm not sure of the advantage of setting them off before hand. Nice one TD!

POST 20Original post

To verify clearnance issues between them and the rear window. If they are up a priori then no BANG!

POST 21 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Also to not get the crap scared out of me while on the track.

POST 22 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Dell, you were right, those renntech guys know their stuff... http://www.renntech.org/forums/index...0&gopid=49072&

POST 23Original post

Wow! Thanks for pointing me to that thread as well. Good to have in the knowledge base

POST 24Original post

hahahaha so true i mean bikes, skateboards, sleds in the winter, crazy carpets, rollerblades, etc... the list goes on.

POST 25 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So have you tried it yet Dell? I wonder if it still goes off like a gun when you stick the screwdriver in there.

POST 26Original post

Haven't got up the courage to do it yet And probably won't till I have to install my rollbar.
