Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that report identifying a cause
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'car i learned' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'car i learned' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

hehehe... i know i am
got the car a month ago, but wasn't hot enough. had to make a call upstairs to the big guy to turn up the heat even more.
ahh... nothing comes close to driving in south bay between hours of 7 and 10pm.
Driving home on P Street NW in DC at 5:15 pm the temp gauge was fluctuating between 103 and 104. Got all the way down to 96 by the time I hit Bethesda (MD). Yea the top was up
Same over here in Hotlanta. Been driving top down since Feb. For the last month though, the top goes up after 9 AM (which means I can drive top down to the office in the morning
).
Things will get normal again as of October. In the meantime...hotter than hell.
Drove in this morning top down, I thought I'd get in early under the radar but one of the big wigs saw me in the garage. She even called my desk 20mins later but I ignored the call figuring if it were business she'd leave a voice mail.....She didn't..
Yeah, funny that I also try to do the same each time I drive my 996 to work (once or twice a week)
heh heh
Agree with JKB, that we are fortunate to be in the Bay Area, the weather is great here... well right now it's un-usually hotter than normal so top down can only be donw before 10am and after 7pm
Very warm in Charlotte... top is staying mostly up unfortunately. Looking forward to the weekend... supposed to be in the eighties, so top can go down again!!
JKB: There was a pretty interesting thread sometime ago on "Porsche Envy":

Makes interesting reading...
yeah i saw that while shopping and researching. honestly i dont give a flying beep what others think. i worked hard, sacrificed a lot and i'll be damned if i will let "what other people think" get in the way of my reward. i got the car for myself because i enjoy cars. not because its a status or because girls like it.
however, something inside of me feels guilty and rotten when i buy nice things. i feel guilty because my parents could never afford anything like that when they were my age (especially growing up in ex-USSR
[1]
). i feel guilty because when we first moved to this country in '92, my mother had to sign up for welfare as all immigrants did.
i was buying a shirt a few weekends ago in neiman which was $400 when i turned to my friend and said how just 10 some years ago $400 was a HUGE ammount of money and funny thing is.. at the end.. i couldn't get myself to buy the shirt. the free t-shirts i get from my company work just fine
in fact, aside from two cars my spendings are very modest. i think i am just crazy about cars, thats all (darn, couldn't i have found something less expensive to be crazy about? stamp collections for example?
)
ok, i am just rambling on. i think i need to go see a shrink to help me get over my "i feel guilty buying nice things" stage
1.
- actually life in ex-USSR wasnt that bad for us as we were close to an upper-class family with a government car and a driver. in fact, it was the car i learned to drive on. GAZ-24
http://www.gaz.ru/eng/ist/cars/index.htm
ahh... the memories.
you could have spend your money on worse things!! Alcohol and drugs....so spending it on a pretty reliable car isn't that bad!
And jkb.....coming from Holland...when my parents bought a new car (BMW) the neigbors wouldn't talk to them for 6 months out of jealousy...I have the feeling in America people like it when you are successful...but then again I only lived in NY and CA and the people there are a little different from the rest of the states.
I understand your guilty feeling...I just feel bad that I spend a lot of money (when I do)...just because it feels so good having it sit in the bank.....
LOL, pl, I got caught in the rain yesterday on the highway. As long as I kept it over 60 I was fine until my exit. But I felt a bit dumb driving in the rain with the top down, but there was nowhere to pull over and it was dry inside the vehicle. But I am totally with BB I drive the Boxster with the top down regardless of temp, I love a winter's drive with the heat blasting as well as a hot-hot day with air on cool.
I love it when I see all those convertibles driving with windows closed and top up on a hot summer day. Why bother buying it? For the elusive 78 degree 0% humidity days? If one of those ever comes along I may just get out of the car and take a walk
