Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
Could not find any mechanic that could diagnose the poor running issues.
Leading evidence: 'Run issues' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Run issues' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. It was setting outside when I started working there.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So my wife and I were heading out to dinner in my 996. All of a sudden it studder stepped and started misfiring, the check engine light came on and was blinking, then it shut down. Stranded. I pulled out my OBD reader and it had thrown 5 or 8 codes. I cannot remember because I became so nervous. I looked up some of the codes here on the forum and the first thread that showed up was “ Roller for sale” I start reading the codes in the thread and they are same as mine. I figure I’m done IMSB is blown.
But guess what????
If you followed my thread about the blinking low gas light you will now know it came and bit me in the ***. I ran out off gas. My son showed up with a can of 93 octane and she started. Purring like my favorite *****. I thought I put fuel in last time out but I guess not. I need to fix that situation.
Man I cannot wait until I have enough money saved for my IMSB job. I don’t use credit cards. Learned my lesson years ago
Now I really feel bad for people who’s engines blew up. I just experienced it. It felt real and I was already trying to figure out how I was going to manage this situation.
Thank you god.
Whew!
I once blew an expensive race motor on the track.
I know the feeling.
Go buy a lottery ticket and then start saving for The IMS Solution.
I also dont do credit cards.
I budget my mods and maintenance.
Right now Im finally getting around to installing Aprils purchases.
I need to throw spare time into my budget planning.
I bought a Fiat X1/9 from work on a mechanics lien for $100 back in the early 90s.
It was diagnosed wings blown head gasket and likely warped head by our lead technician.
It was setting outside when I started working there.
I towed it home on a Friday after work and worked on it there.
They didn’t like us working on our own cars.
It only needed a timing belt. (Non interference engine)
$108 later I had a very fun car.
My wife drove it for 6 months and then I sold it for $1600.
The lead technician was mad when I pulled up in it the next Monday.
He caught a lot of crap for the misdiagnosis.
Then I bought a Porsche 912 for $2000, repaired it, had it repainted, and sold it for $6500.
I wish I still had it.
Let me guess, while you were sweating bullets and googling codes, your wife calmly asks " Are you sure there is gas in it?" lol
Another false alarm, a few more and there will need to a sticky..lol
Our next door neighbor had a 66 VW bug sitting in his driveway for years. Could not find any mechanic that could diagnose the poor running issues. I bought it from him for $300 and was going to use this as a rebuild project for auto shop. Turns out it was only a vacuum diaphragm for the carb. A $10 fix and that car was a screamer. Drove it for many years after that. Neighbor was not amused.
Good news...I guess. How could you run out of gas after this was posted a couple of times in your previous threads:
If the level gauge warning light flashes,
there has been a system fault.
Additionally, a warning is displayed in the onboard
computer.
There will then be no reserve warning.
Just be glad you weren't flying an airplane.
