They have contacted Tubi via Champion Motorsports and was informed that Tubi no longer provides the flanges on the pipe and that there is a bolt on flange with a Porshe part number in its replacemet, used on factory exhaust, due to this problem hapenning.

However, I believe that they are correct in stating that you could use the Porshe bolt on flange to attach the exhaust tips.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I had a Tubi installed on my 996 and just had it removed before I sold the car. When I got the cans back I noticed that one was missing a flange. The shop said they must have broke it on removal. They have contacted Tubi via Champion Motorsports and was informed that Tubi no longer provides the flanges on the pipe and that there is a bolt on flange with a Porshe part number in its replacemet, used on factory exhaust, due to this problem hapenning. Below is a picture of the missing piece. Does this sound right? Or is the shop tring to get one over on me?

POST 2Original post

I never have had Tubi mufflers, so I can't answer that question specifically about the Tubi. However, I believe that they are correct in stating that you could use the Porshe bolt on flange to attach the exhaust tips. This assumes that the Tubi flange is the correct size for the tips and clamp. Here is a pic showing my stock mufflers, tips, and the OEM bolt on flange. Hope this helps.
