I second Dell's recommendation...it will be a whole lot easier to find the car you want and then add the aerokit on afterwards...there are a bunch of places where you can find these OEM parts (new or used) and it won't be that much more if you pay for it seperately vs getting it on the car already.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So, I have been through the classifieds, craigslist, autotrader, vehix, cars.com, and there is virtually nothing in the way of 1999 or 2000 carrera 2's with aero kits. Surely someone must know someone who might be considering selling what I am looking in exchange for a nice new 997 or even a 996 turbo. Let me know!!

POST 2Original post

As stated before, how much will you pay??? I'm still interested in the turbos but haven't located a "must have". Then again, I've been thinking about 360's and keeping my car as an additional fun car. First number is a 4, otherwise keep looking....................................................... Good luck though!

POST 3Original post

same question - Mine is FS for the right price (just short of the 4 number to start with) I'm Firm on the price - but hey where else are you going to get Aero, M030, LSD, ABD, TC, & Full leather, etc. http://www.lynchracing.com/For-Sale/996/996.htm the PSS-9's are gone and the "or reasonable offer" means so close to the asking price i'll be reasonable (i've turned down a few close offers already) I'm not motivated - i just like 964's better

POST 4Original post

Just curious.....why not ge the perfect 996 that meets ALL your requirements except for the aero and then have it added (genuine Porsche of course)???

POST 5Original post

Cupcar, your 996 is very pretty! Monabaker, buy that car!!!! What's wrong with this one, it's got the suspension, low miles, and looks right. and I can keep my car........................ I don't really want to sell anyways.

POST 6Original post

Thanks Dallasboats It's a great car. I just am not running it on the track or really need too reliable of a car (my drive is 6 miles to work & the 356 does sunny day duty) My plan was to race it, but... My daughter is 4.5 months old right now and i have projects piling up on the cup car. - some adds to the ad - New tires (pirelli assemtrico's). Child seat air bag deactivator + Baby seat

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That is indeed quite a nice car, and probably fairly priced at $39,500. I was really looking to spend like $35,000-$38,000, and even that would be a large stretch. Not to mention I would have to have that car shipped literally all the way across the country to me in Boston...

POST 8Original post

I second Dell's recommendation...it will be a whole lot easier to find the car you want and then add the aerokit on afterwards...there are a bunch of places where you can find these OEM parts (new or used) and it won't be that much more if you pay for it seperately vs getting it on the car already. My 2 cents....

POST 9Original post

Not to mention....how many of the "aero" 996's that you would find would acutally have had it ordered from the factory that way? You can get the Aero front and sides all day long from vendors and eBay (genuine Porsche poly pieces). The rear wing you might have to be a bit more patient.

POST 10Original post

There's a 2001 in Dupont Registry, seal grey in FL. Says "low miles". I think it was low $40's.

POST 11Original post

You probably need to be willing to pay more money for a car loaded with the performance adders that you previously mentioned. Factory aero parts or a factory aero car will still run you $5k more than average. You should be able to find a nice one for $38k-$43k, I would think. With the suspension and headers, exhaust, the red car sounds like a great deal! Get off the pot and go buy it! You'll end up spending more than that anyways once you start modding the car. The suspension was an easy $2k alone!

POST 12Original post

I've seen plenty of 99-00 C2's in the 38k range in the tri-state area. Like Dell & others said, better off buying oem aero kit a la carte based on your personal taste. I opted for the aero front bumper and side skirts on my cab. Came out around $2k with paint and everything. I think its harder to find cars with all the options you'd want in the color and condition you want, rather than the aero kit being the deal breaker. Besides, when you do get one, you'll get bit by the mod bug and start wanting to spend like a **** anyway. Rob, your car is crazy out the box, can't imagine why its still on the market!

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I think I am slightly intimadated by the whole process of doing the aerokit. It seems like there are so many choices, and features, and options, and there's no clear place that has all the information, or prices, or comparison photos. I've never owned a 996 before, so I don't know much about this whole aspect....I mean, I would find it easier to just buy a car with one, but clearly, if I could buy the right car at the right price without, and then add, that would be an option. I just dont know where, or how much, or time, or anything.....feelin kinda lost about the whole thing.

POST 14Original post

monabaker, it's no big deal, get what you want. As for aero kits costing $2k no way. That would be a partial aero and the single most expensive part is the adjustable taco wing. Many of these guys have bought aero front or aero sides and have pieced together what they like in terms of appearance. However, these are not full aero kits. If you really like the original Mk 1 GT3 aero style then you should search out a car with the kit in place. It will be easier and the finish will be correct and it will cost you less money. $38k can get you one, just be patient!

POST 15Original post

dallas, like i said in previous post, i just got oem front aero and side skirts, not complete kit. We got a good deal from Dayton last month. Monabaker, yes, take your time to fishing for one you really want. do as much research as possible with plenty of searches on this forum as well as other resources. everyone on the board is very helpful and can always assist you on mods afterwards.

POST 16Original post

I would pay a couple grand more to buy the car you want from a Rennlister. The problem with Used cars especially out of state is that you don't know what it has been subject to. I think 39K for CupCar's C2 is a great deal. I found my C2 for $38.9K with full FACTORY Aero this past summer so the deals are out there. However I know I got a smoking deal right place at the right time. All in all find the car that you want it will come around just be patient. If you add the Aero it is going to cost you $3K or so after it is all said and done so factor that into your price. 01 with lots of good mods, skirts, and Aero bumper,in your price range.... on your coast http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AMAZI...QQcmdZViewItem

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I actually found a car online I am fairly interested in. But, like you guys have said. It is at a used car lot, out of state. (About 425 miles from me) It has a perfect Carfax and looks pretty amazing, but one never really knows. The dealer says a PPI wouldn't be a problem, but I don't know how I feel about buying it sight unseen. Nor do I know if I would be willing to tell someone else about this deal in fear of them stealing it away from me. I mean, I found a seemingly spotless 1999 C4 with full aero for $35,000......Sounds too good to be true.....usually is....Only reason I can think of it is low prices is the color is really odd. Black exterior with a reall odd red looking leather inside...?

POST 18Original post

I have never heard anyone stealing a car from under another rennlister. If your serious about the car and it checks out it is worth the couple hundred bucks to fly down and look at the car. If you get the PPI done at a Porsche Dealer you can ask the service person to give you his fealings on the overall car above and beyond the normal PPI routine. However I would still ask for a second opinion from a rennlister in that area. I have done it a dozen times over the years for people. Remember the majority of this group allready has a 996 so it would be a far stretch for someone on rennlist to steal the car from under you.

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well, if that's the case, and I am sure that it is....Is there anyone in the Baltimore area who wants to do me a favor? Perhaps someone who has a camera too? The photos on the website aren't very good.

POST 20Original post

start another post asking if someone in that area can do it for u...your request in this thread maybe overlooked.

POST 21 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

All set and posted. Thanks for the advise.

POST 22Original post

I found a 2000 with 67K miles with Blk/blk - aero kit, 3 spoke steering wheel, 18" 996TT twists, PSE, litronic clear headlights, euro side markers, tint, and owned by a porsche/audi mechanic shop. I called him he wants $35K for it. Really nice car. Originally owned by a porsche mechanic from porsche. PM i will find the link on autotrader.

POST 23Original post

I saw a blk/blk c2 w/ an aerokit when I was looking for one. Looked cherry in all of the pictures. I paid $200 to have it inspected and everything came back great. I flew down to Texas (I live in WA) and didn't end up buying it b/c of some issues. The point I'm trying to make is that everyone has different opinions about what's nice or not... it's worth the plane trip to inspect the car before you make a decision. A few months later, I ended up making another trip and buying the car I have now. Granted, I could've waited even longer b/c I ended up getting grey and it wasn't my first color preference. Bought mine on ebay.

POST 24 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Actually, I just located a 1999 C4 with 54,000 on the clock, black, with the full aero for the same kind of money. It's going in for PPI Wednesday. SO WE WILL SEE

POST 25Original post

There's a dealer in the Chicago area with a brand new 2004 911 Coupe with aero - Midnight Blue/ Grey and a lot of good options. Stunning looking car, sticker =84K, I'm sure you could get a heck of a deal on a brand new car with 4 year warrantee..

POST 26 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Oh that's way out of my league. I have been looking in the sub 40k range. But, I think I found the car, so we'll know soon!

POST 27 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeh, that fell through, see my other post. Still on the hunt!! Anymore suggestions?

POST 28Original post

360? You obviously haven't driven one...very disappointing....unless curb appeal is enough, because it certainly has that....just very low on the visceral meter, imo

POST 30Original post

he went over this, he's looking to spend 35-38k and says that's a stretch for him.

POST 31Original post

monabaker - have you seen the one in Asheville, NC? https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/262188-anyone-near-asheville-nc-know-about-this-99-w-aerokit.html

POST 32 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My league is $35,000ish....and no, I hadn't seen that one..... It does look nice, but now because of what happened, I am really skeptical about travling across the country for a car.

POST 33Original post

I don't blame you! I read your "other" post. I think there are a couple of guys on the forum that live in the Asheville area. One of them might be willing to check it out for you. I would offer to do it, unfortunately, but I am over 2.5 hours away from Asheville.

POST 34Original post

Ok, I decided to take a few minutes and do a search on Edmunds to see if I could find any 1999 - 2001 996 P-cars, equiped with aero kits, and priced between $28,000 and $38,000. Below iare teh links to specific cars I found. THere are a couple that it is hard to tell if they have the rear wing installed because only one pic was included. Two of the cars are listed by the same seller/used car dealer. There ARE some out there! http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...=&cardist=2116 http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...s=&cardist=635 http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...s=&cardist=348 http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...00&cardist=630 http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...g=&cardist=630 http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...g=&cardist=358 http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...g=&cardist=632

POST 36Original post

Hey Monabaker, I've a '99 ocean blue cab with partial aero which i've been thinking about replacing with an '02 coupe...the car is in good condition though not perfect and has just under 50k on the clock. I live in the northwest burbs of Boston and you're welcome to come on out and drive/see/ppi it without worrying about encountering any of the BS you've already been through...it's not being listed anywhere or advertised as I my original intent was to sit tight until I found a replacement, the asking price is 36,500...that said, feel free to drop me a line if you're interested and I'll send you some pics and additional info. Regards, Alex

POST 37 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Alex, that's would be wonderful. Please PM me all of your contact information, or just e-mail me at [email removed] with any information or photos you may have. I also live North of Boston. What town are you from?

POST 38Original post

I have a '99 with triptronic transmission that will be for sale soon. It is in the shop now getting an oil change, new tires, alignment and another issue taken care of. It is metalic black with beige interrior. It does not have the aero kit. The car has 62,500 miles on it. I will be looking for about $31.5K for the car. You could easily put the aerokit on and still be well within your price range. I live near Portsmouth, NH and would be more than happy to meet you at a mutually convenient site to show you the car. Let me know and I'd be happy to send you some pics to get your started.

POST 39 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Nah, no tiptronic for me, thanks though! I would be all over it if it was a manual.

POST 40Original post

A buddy of mine is considering selling his 99 c2 w/ aero. It is vesuvious metalic. Car is in Columbus, OH. pm me if interested in talking to him.

POST 41 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

gota911, you should sell me yours!

POST 42Original post

Mona I just got back from local dealer (Cincinnati, Oh area) and they had a Ocean Blue Metallic 99 Carrera coupe with Aero pkg and 33,000 miles. The bumper is getting a respray as I type, other than that I didn't see anything that looked repainted. It had graphite gray soft leather interior with heated and power seats, design pkg., aerokit, aluminum pkg (small?) crest in headrest, 18' turbo look wheels w/ colored crest, sound pkg., and cd player. That is all I could tell by looking at it, there may be more. If you or anyone else is interested let me know and I can give you the contact info. I'm sure they would work with you on a PPI and possibly some sort of warranty, and definately wouldn't screw you over like the other place. By the way I have no affiliation with them I just stopped to look at 997.

POST 43Original post

I can sell you mine, but is does not have any aero stuff... yet! Also, mine is a 2004 C2 so you would be looking at $20,000-ish higher than your previously stated amount of "$35,000-ish" range. However, if you are interested.....

POST 45Original post

I've seen pictures of this car and it looked very nice. Don't worry mon, take your time and your dream car will come

POST 46Original post

I thought that deal fell through. I am back to looking for side skirts and front aero 1 bumber. Anyone have a recommendation. If I don't make a move soon I will wind up trading cars and I don;t think I could find a better one mechanically. Just needs a little sprucing up

POST 47Original post

I'm looking for a '99-'00 911 as well with the options below priced to sell at $38K: -Full aerokit (front, rear, sides, taco wing) from the factory -Manual shift -Full leather -Crest on seats -Litronics and no-amber rear lights -OEM 3 spoke steering wheel (I can't stand the four spokes) -Arctic silver, white preferred -0 RMS history - original factory seals -Less than 50K miles If it's lowered on Bilsteins, if it has LSD, if it has quality 19" wheels, 3M film for the life of the car, aftermarket exhaust, short shifter, carbon fiber OEM bits, definitely a bonus that I'd welcome. I want one well cared for by a rennlister or some other fanatical 911 types. Let's see what happens!

POST 48 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeh, I would love all that too, but I don't think I can afford to be that greedy. And I am talking about spending the same kind of money you are. This is a 7 year old car remember.

POST 49Original post

http://www.custommotorsofsouthflorida.com/about.htm Not an endorsement, but they sell aero kits, and they sell a lot of 99s with aero kits and the pricing looks reasonable. Looks like they might be buying these from auction, slapping the aero kits on and putting the price up $6k higher than they got it for. But, who knows, plus they don't list VINs on the site. Anybody know anything about these guys in FL? I was thinking of making a trip down to check out some of their cars, they have quite a selection. I am also looking for '99. I am thinking of putting the turbo/4s rear bumpber on and front bumper from an aero maybe instead of the aero kit...Ilike the turbo rear bumper better and don't really care for that rear wing personally. Good luck...

POST 50 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

They have a ton of cars which I would LOVE.........Can anyone down there check this place out?

POST 51Original post

They have a bunch of mix and match. Looks like a customization shop. The parts are probably fake and poor quality. A few of them looked authentic towards the top. I noticed several cars with cheap knock off wheels. I've heard several dealers mention doing the aero thing for markup on ebay but none of them had actually done it. It was just beer talk, I guess someone got wise. I still wouldn't want one with cheap imitation parts on it though.................................... The ebayers will never know the difference!

POST 52 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So you wouldn't trust anything from this shop is what you are saying dallas? Please, be honest, I am looking for any feedback, positive or negitive.

POST 53Original post

Yes, sorry it's just my opinion. It doesn't mean squat, I have not seen the cars in person. It just seems highly suspect to spot cars with various aero configurations, fresh paint, and knock off wheels. I would suspect that upon inspection the cars would have cheap parts that are all about flash for low buck. Again only my opinion, however I was highly suspect of your previous deal too. Sorry for all your troubles but I think if you want a nice full aero, it's going to cost a little more money, not a lot, just a little. Another option may be to get a partial aero minus the rear wing. There are some sharp looking cars in this configuration. The rear wing is a $5k painted part from the Porsche dealer. You can get the real deal for probably half that if you shop it but you'll have to prep/paint. I think you can find a nice well cared for car in your range minus the wing, probably with nice wheels or lowered too. But I'm afraid, if you are looking for genuine Porsche in full aero form, you're a little short on what to pay. What's a few thousand dollars anyways................. Especially, if it's in a note. Are you having a mental block on the number, maybe? I know I can do that myself sometimes............... Sorry you got screwed around on the last car, but that was just way too cheap. IMO, it looked like crap anyways.

POST 54 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well, your opinion is important to me, as is that of all members here, and I value your thoughts, regardless of whether they are positive or negitive. The last car was a bit too "bling-e-fied" for me, and when it seems to good to be true, it clearly is. I agree that most of their cars look fresh from the paint/body shop, and some do look cheap, but there are others which looks nice. I would tend to assume there is someone on this board who is in the South Florida area who knows this place, and has experience, or an opinion, or could og and check it out. As far as the wing, that is something that I do want, just for the looks. It remains to be seen whether or not it'll be OEM from the factory or aftermarket. I truly don't know how far I can make $36,000 go.

POST 55Original post

The 2000 looks sharp but those are cheap knock off wheels. They look really nice though! I'm guessing this will be one of the more expensive ones as it's used in the logo graphic on the website. Probably his personal car that gave him the idea to build all of these fake aeros. It may even have OEM parts on it. I don't think anyone makes the gt fins except for Porsche. Call and find out what the prices are................................................

POST 57Original post

Just saw this on Ebay tonite...its in NY so you could probably drive to see it! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...QQcmdZViewItem

POST 58Original post

How about a heavily optioned( 95K msrp) 3.6lL 2003....... 4250 miles warranty and road side assistance till 4/08 like new. Must sell

POST 59Original post

Turbohead - VERY NICE ride! It must kill you to have to sell it! Sorry for your loss!

POST 60 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeh, that is a 2003. Def not going to be in my price range............ HOWEVER!!!!! I have been in preliminary talks with Rolf, from Rolfs Auto, in Summit New Jersey. http://rolfsauto.com/media/rolfs.html About an amazing 1999 996 C2. The car isn't on his lot at this point in time, but it's only about a 4.5 hour drive from my house in Boston so I may just go and see it this coming weekend. So far, Rolf has bent over backwards to make me happy, been totally a professional, and a gentleman, and an all around nice guy. He seems to really know his stuff, and can certainly back it up with how he speaks on the telephone. Has anyone here done any business with him?

POST 61Original post

How about this one... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...28398183QQrdZ1 Looks like a great deal with some quaity mods too!

POST 62Original post

A friend just emailed me about a '99 C2 partial aero coupe (no taco or rear bumper extensions). It's black on black, sport seats with silver painted backs, silver console, 3 spoke steering wheel, 18" wheels, sport suspension (looks like M030), no sunroof, 58k miles. My friend (Chris) is a fellow rennlister but is having trouble logging into the site so I've taken the liberty of forwarding your email address to him. Cheers, Stan

POST 63Original post

Don't like it. No tail which is the most expensive part of the aerokit. Horrible wheels. No litronics. High-miles for what I want. How long do these clutches last? Sand, sell your car.

And it sounds GREAT! But the key question is.....do you have brakes yet

POST 66Original post

Brakes.... who needs them, they have been back on for a few weeks. BTW Drove it today!... Went down town you would have thought I was driving a Yellow Enzo. Not much Eye candy here in Denver.

POST 67Original post

Dude, it was the SOUND they were amazed with )

POST 68 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'd love that car, and I would totally pay 45K, but I don't have it. 35K I can do, maybe even 37K stretch, but 45 is just unaffordable at this point in time.

POST 69Original post

mona i'd hate to say it but sounds like a non-aerokit 996 is more in line with your price range. i've done some research and an aerokitted 996 with TLC to back it up is going to cost high $30s to low $40s depending on year. you should've picked up that red one from seattle. i can vouch for that seller and the car.

POST 70Original post

Here is a red 01 from Ebay for 38k Red Aero from EBay

POST 71Original post

Oh and look at one that is not near as nice as Eric's is listed for Yellow Aero on EBay

POST 72Original post

Whoa, that yellow aero coupe is at Momentum -- my neck of the woods. The description says it's an '00 996, and yet it's listed as a 3.6l?

POST 73Original post

Probably also has that "optional and RARE" 4 speed transmision

POST 74Original post

If want a nice aero, it will cost more than $35k....................................... The yellow one looks great!

POST 75 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeh, I tend to agree with you, but I am chasing what looks to be a really promising lead right now on a car through a friend of a friend the family. I will be seeing it this Sunday.... What I know at this point: Silver 1999 C2 Aero, <50,xxx miles, 6speed manual, GT3 headers, GT3 exhaust, full leather, litronics, 3 spoke wheel, and from what I am told, TONS more options.......$38,000 I have never seen the car, nor the options list, but I am told it is 100% perfect........The PPI will prove or disprove that one Of course, I will let you all know more as soon as I know more.

POST 76Original post

Dude I am jealous if that turns out mint! Keep us posted!

POST 77Original post

Does that yellow one on eBay have peel and stick CF bits??? YACK!

POST 78Original post

MONA....why don't you get a really nice 996 for $35 and then add the aero in time when you have the funds?

POST 79Original post

My thoughts exactly.... Also, aero kits can be had a fairly decent deals these days if you keep an eye out. Plus, it's more fun to mod your car yourself, so you see the level of progression

POST 80 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sandoval.....Since I am at 35K, and you're at like 45k.....how about we meet in the middle, and you become my best friend and life hero! Just a thought..

POST 81Original post

Great idea I would have done that in a heartbeat... However the guy flying in tomorrow morning would be pretty ticked off... She is sold Pending Payment/pickup

POST 82 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Oh, wow, did you get 45k for it? That's fantastic for you! I'm totally jealous he's got the bills and I don't. PS....You weren't serious about meeting at 40k were you? It's hard to tell sarcasm online.

POST 83Original post

No I would not have sold the car for $40K and Yes I actually got offers above my asking price after I said it was sold BUT I made a deal with the current buyer. Karma

POST 84 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Power to you then! Great job on the sale. What's next, 996TT? 997?

POST 85 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Okay.....the deal I mentioned is on hold......The owner wants to find a new Porsche to buy before selling this one, and can't stand to be without a Porsche for a single weekend. WHO KNOWS?? So, yeh, it'll take him an undetermined amount of time to located a replacement, and in the meantime....I am still on the lookout.......SO.....bring on the suggestions once again! ($38,000 or less please)

POST 86 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anybody selling in the Northeast?

POST 87Original post

Check this one out. I just saw this listed on ebay, and it has the full body kit.

POST 91 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That one looks pretty nice actually.....Anyone down in that area want to scope it out?

POST 92Original post

Monabaker....The white car is a Rennlist member...UberXY is his screen name and I spoke to him on the phone several times and he's a real good guy. I REALLY REALLY wanted to buy that car but had some personal issues to address and now that I'm back in the market my wife has convinced me not to have 2 white cars in the garage at the same time. The car doesn't have many options...but that was part of the attraction for me. No roof, no OBC, No Litronics....BUT also No RMS history, GHL exhaust, sports seats, 3 spoke wheel, WHITE (I have this thing with white...wife hates it) Sport designs, newer rubber and extermely clean from the pictures that I saw. Andy

POST 93Original post

Sunroof delete is very rare that would be a great car to have if you track!!!! Here is another white car this is one of the Champion cars..There is a great article in one of the past excellence magazines covering the cars champion modified. I actually read it recently, Check out the CF Biplane on the wing. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-Ch...QQcmdZViewItem

POST 94Original post

sandoval, that car is awesome but will be way out his price range, I'm guessing an easy $42k.

POST 95Original post

Monabaker, ever find the one you were looking for? I'm asking because I'm in your shoes now! Looking for a 996 w/aero as well... Everyone did a good job giving you tips on who was selling what though. Please PM me if anyone knows of any for sale.

POST 96Original post

S14...A fellow I was talking with last week just traded in his Black '02 Aero at Brandywine Porsche in PA. The car was mint with 8,900 miles and he was the original owner. He offered it to me at $52K before making the trade.

POST 97Original post

Mark, Thanks for the heads up...I'm probably looking more so for a 1999-2001 since the 2002s seem to always have less mileage and ask lot more. Realistically I'm probably going to need to find one with at least 30-40K miles on her. I was offered a 1999 aero that was EVO supercharged w/ 50K miles for high $30s which I would have jumped on if it wasn't red. Looking more for a silver/grey/black...maybe white or a real nice blue. Best, Jack

POST 98Original post

You can always find a C2 and Aero later, that's what I will likely do since I have an early build C2 7/98. So @#%@#$ early, I think it swears its an air-cooled 996 demo car (I can say that as a former 993 owner) Then you can pick your color of the Aero Kit. For me, Gulf Blue....... maybe or white or wait, G-

POST 99 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No, I actually gave up. I decided to take a few years off from Porsche and bought a 2003 BMW M3. Which is why you haven't seen me posting here at all recently. I'll keep it for 2-4 years I think and then just get a 996TT. By then, those will be easy to find. Everyone here was very helpful in my search for a C2Aero though. They'll help you too!

POST 100Original post

Hate to start this thread up again but does anyone know why this Aero is priced so low? (seems low to me for a 2001 Aero regardless of the Tip...) Thanks! http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...=&cardist=1166

POST 102Original post

Thought I already mentioned that fact in my question...

POST 103Original post

Yeah, I did see how helpful everyone was to you which is why I posted here as well.

POST 104Original post

Does any know what the cost of a full factory aero kit purchased as an add-on later say for a 2000 996 with installation and paint? Also what are the options other than factory Porsche for aero kits? Thanks.

POST 105Original post

i have a black 99 carerra with aero kit. it also has xenons, custom exhaust, 18" gemballa wheels, and short shifter. it has 62k miles. ive babied it. the car is a toy. absolutely amazing. get back to me if youre into it. im looking for $37k

POST 106Original post

I'm trying to purchase one with around 40-45K miles...the car otherwise sounds like what I'm trying to buy.
