Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 1 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My '99 996 passenger side door has just become difficult to open as I find that the window rubs against the rubber seal gasket around the door frame . I believe it has to do with the way the window automatically lowers concurently with the door opening. It is clear that the window is not being automatically lowered by the right amount which is causing the who door/window to stick. The only way the door opens smoothly is when I lmanually ower the window by atleast a few inches before the passenger door is opened. Has anybody had this issue and is there a solution? Thanks.

POST 2Original post

reset the window switch by pressing up or down for 60 sec after the window is raised abd lowered. if not fixed you'll prbly need a microswitch
