Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I had a good experience with Herge's when they did a PPI on a 993 I was interested in, however, when I owned my 83 SC I used Factorywerks in Huntington Beach.

Suggestion
While we are on the subject of OC garages, can someone recommend a good shop for putting on ROW suspension at a relatively good price?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I use Pristine Motors, they only do P's and are in Huntington Beach. They did a 60K (this was about 4K ago) on my 996 and (knock on wood) so far no problems.

They handle modifications, warranty, mainentance, etc..... Ask for Mark....
I take my BMW to Irvine European in Lake Forest. Great shop, not a fancy shop, but the Lead Tech. Mike is great, knows what he is doing. I may take my 996 there too. But if Hergesheimer is a Posrsche specialist, they may be better???
I had a good experience with Herge's when they did a PPI on a 993 I was interested in, however, when I owned my 83 SC I used Factorywerks in Huntington Beach. Gary Topal is the owner; has been in business 13 years and working with Porshe's close to 20 years. He is a very decent guy, has integrity, and you won't need to drain your bank account for really great work. His number is [phone removed]. I only wish I didn't live so far from him since I moved 3 years ago to Temecula.
Also check with Chris at Newport motorsports, Chris is the owner there. They have been in business in Newport beach area forever and have a very good reputation. Pricing is very resonable. Since I do all of my work I rarely take my own car to anyone, but this is one place I would take my own car to and have so. [phone removed]
I actually heard they were shutting down Andial. Hopefully that is not true. Anyway, I took my car to Auto Strasse in Costa Mesa/Newport and Jeff over there REALLY knows his stuff. He rebuilt my motor and they buy a ton of cores from LA Dismantlers and others to rebuild. He is very knowledgable about the 996's - more so than anyone else I spoke to.
While we are on the subject of OC garages, can someone recommend a good shop for putting on ROW suspension at a relatively good price? I am leaning towards Herdesheimers since they are close to where I live.
West End Alignment will probably give you the best price for that job, but they're in Gardena. The extra drive will be well worth the savings and the good work they do. The owner is Darren and he does a lot of work for PCA and BMWCCA folks. I have no affiliation other than being a satisfied customer for over five years.
