Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Seems like power supply to cigarette lighter remains active even once car is off, keys are out, doors are locked, and dome lights are out. Can I leave my gadgets plugged in or is it going to drain the battery?
The lighter socket is always hot. Thats why trickle chargers can be connected there. If you require switched power to that spot, youll need a relay. Several threads on here for options to convert the socket. I sometimes leave my camera plugged in and my car locks.
It all depends on whether or not:
1. Your gadgets are sucking power
2. How much power they're using
3. How often do you get in and start the car
Personally, I would never leave something plugged in, too many possibilities for disaster.
I run my radar detector off the cigarette lighter socket and always make sure to turn off the detector if it's going to be parked for more than a few hours otherwise it seems to start draining the battery.
Pull the unused phone prep plug out of the center consul and use the switched power to run your accessories.
brown = ground, yellow = phone mute, red = unswitched power. Green/yellow? = switched power
Do not leave anything connected to this... it will discharge the battery for sure. It just a leaching port when things are connected to it. I even had a lighted USB charger attached to it and tested the draw... it was way higher than I expected... and it wasn't even plugged into my phone and it was still drawing quite a bit.
Keep in mind you will have to dink around with energizing you system if you discharge the battery and can't open the frunk, it such a pain (unless you have one of our lithium batteries with built-in jump starting) . So its a "do not pass go" type of thing... always remove anything from that Cig port. I've tested it alot and some of those little accessories drain the battery much faster than you might think they would.
