Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Where's the A/C receiver/dryer on our cars? I have a tip if that makes a difference. I've looked at the parts diagrams and it doesn't show where it's located.

POST 2Original post

I could be wrong (completely) but I think it is located under the right side cover next to the battery tray.

POST 3Original post

Nope...did some research....maybe this is right. It is behind the left front wheel fender liner.

POST 4Original post

Actually, now looking at that diagram, it is not correct for our cars. I can't find any good pictures of the location, so I'll think I'll just admit I don't know where it is.

POST 5Original post

Havnt tore in to it ,, but,, That diagram looks like an earlier 911,, not a 996. we have 2 condensers.. In the front,,, one in front of each radiator, except for a couple versions that only have 1.. That diagram looks like an Air cooled version I worked on years ago,, their AC was rube-golberg as hell..

POST 7Original post

Yes, sistered to both radiators.
