I bought a set of PSS9's from a Rennlister and had them installed on my 99 996..but it didn't get the height adjustment tool with them and the installer told me to come back with a tool and he'd adjust the ride height and re-align it for me.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone in the Sacramento or adjacent area who has a tool I might borrow to get the job done? Chuck

POST 2Original post

What you need is called a spanning, or spanner wrench. A quick Google found these guys. Maybe give them a call and order one. $6.95 well spent. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/xq/asp...qx/Product.htm

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Will do...thank you for your research and the tip. I might as well have one as a permanent part of the toolbox since I will probably be messing around with the ride height and settings. I sent an email to Speedway.

POST 4Original post

Hey chuck.. I have plenty of those at the shop. If you need a pair let us know...

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

A real fast PM to you Alex....what a guy!!!! Chuck

POST 6Original post

No worries Chuck... Boxed and ready to go. UPS will pick 'em Monday

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Alex: Can't thank you enough. You and James are stand up fellows. It's rewarding to see this sort of response from fellow Rennlisters. BTW...the car is running great since you folks put in the mods. I haven't had to do anything but put gas in it and drive it.

POST 8Original post

Any motorcycle shop will have them too if anyone else finds themselves in a similar bind.

POST 9Original post

My pleasure Chuck! Anytime and thanks for the kind words Glad the car is happy....

POST 10Original post

So tell us more.... You're height adjusted, corner balanced, running on rails? How's she feel, beside "putting in gas"?

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

First...Alex...got the PSS9 spanners first thing monday via UPS ...thanx again for your on-the-spot help...most gratifying. Now for the answer to Bos...height adjusted, corner balanced...new set of Sport Pilot II's...and she feel great! I lost a little of the cushy ride that the old shocks provided, but I gained a whole bunch in terms of how it feels cornering and being a little more squatted down in the straights seems to keep the nose tighter to the ground.... The wife doesn't seem to appreciate the stiffer ride....so we go to brekfast in her SUV and that takes care of the comments.
