Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone have pics of thicker wheel (preferably in black, but doesn't matter)? I'd like to see one side by side with the stock wheel for my car ('04 C4S) if anyone has them. Thanks.

POST 2Original post

You know, you can do a search.... Very helpfull!! I just did one and notice you had already asked about the thicker steering wheel. Anyhow I just did the search for you. Scroll down for pictures

POST 3Original post

carnewal.com has pictures of the standard and thicker OEM steering wheels.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks, you are correct! Question - on the C4S, the standard wheel is leather - can I assume the OEM thicker wheel is leather also?

POST 5Original post

According to Suncoast: Generously upholstered in stylish black leather to offer added elegance and tactile appeal. Wheel diameter is expanded by approximately 2.4 mm for optimum grip characteristics. My searching has revealed some people love it and some hate it. Those that hate it comment on wheel only feeling comfortable in large hands. On the other hand, the diameter is only increasing by 2.4 mm. Doesn't seem like a lot. Not to mention, at ~$800.00...

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It's a lot for a wheel and frankly, I'm not convinced it's worth it, but I want to see and try one before I buy. Thanks for the input.

POST 7Original post

I'd love to buy the thicker wheel, but everything I've read says that the OEM wheel can only be purchased in black. Anyone hear differently? I've got a seal grey interior.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Fortunately, I've got a black interior on my Atlas 4S

POST 9Original post

I don't believe that's true. Carnewal sells it in most interior colors. Check their site. I love mine and think it's well worth it. My original four-spoke is certainly no contest, but I think the thicker wheel is a vast improvement over even the factory three-spoke in both look and feel.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm going to check it out on Friday and have Brandywine install it if I like it - along with clear side markers. Also, just ordered a dual mode batter maintainer from Suncoast for the winter.

POST 11Original post

I hope you'll like it, Phil. Heck, a C4S is essentially a Turbo without the boost, so why not have the steering wheel to complete the look?

POST 12Original post

Black only at Carnewal and every other site I've ever checked. Let me know if you see anywhere in grey. Thanks.

POST 13Original post

You are right. Normal 3 spoke in every color Thicker 3 spoke only in black. Why not get the 3 spoke GT3 with Alcantara or the small 340mm leather wheel from carnewal.

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Question - is the Carnewal thicker wheel OEM or made for Porsche by another company??

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
