Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Well, growing up in Michigan, you can imagine what I was told as a youngster about Ohio and West Virginia. There is no need to repeat all of that. This weekend I had the chance to join a drive organized by some friends of mine (they are mostly PCA or BMW driving instructors).
My 1999 996 C2 6MT Coupe was fresh off Phase 1 of suspension upgrades and I was ready to try it out. I do have to thank my friend (the PCA instructor) and the knowledge of so many rennlisters to help me make my decisions. Here are the specs from stock:
All Around: Vogtland Lowering Springs, 18 Hankook RS3s 235 Fr/275 Rr
Front: Tarett Camber Plates & Drop Links, GT3 Control Arms, -2 deg Camber
Rear: Tarett Toe Control Arms, -2.5 deg Camber
Impression of Suspension Upgrades: Very good all-around performance, Neutral Steering (a little oversteer if anything), Quicker turn in, acceptable ride comfort, dramatically improved limit handling
Impression of Ohio: We stayed in Marietta which is a fantastic small city with very friendly people. Good beer and good times. Drove Ohio 26N (my favorite road of the trip) to 78 into West Virginia. Roads were well maintained (much better than Michigan)
Impression of West Virginia: Drove 89 to 250 in West Virginia, then back into Ohio on 148 and then to 26 again. Roads were well maintained and the people were very nice (and supportive of us zooming through the rural areas).
If you have already been to this area, you know how amazing it is, if not, please add it to your list of must drives.
Thanks again for all the help with the endless array of suspension parts upgrade options! Here are some pictures:

Good story. I went to Marietta college and graduated in 1972. Used to drive my AH bug eye through those same locations you mentioned and had a blast. Also started riding dirt bikes mostly in WV. Thanks for reawakening those ancient memories.
Glad you enjoyed the drive. As a native West Virginian I can attest to WV having some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. Too bad the state is rather economically depressed. It's a beautiful state.
I was afraid of that!
Seriously, I was really impressed by the excellent condition of the OH and WV roads. It also seemed like the locals were expecting car or motorcycle clubs to come zooming by at high speeds. Lots of waves and nods along the way.
I go to WV usually twice a year for dirt biking in the mountains. I've ridden all over the country and I will say WV has thee best technical riding in the country. I will also say their roads are fantastic, however you haven't seen poverty until you have visited rural WV. I've been to nicer places in Iraq. Sad to see in our homeland
