I just replaced my ac compressor and everything was working great for a few weeks but now I�m having an issue that when I turn the ac on I feel it change Rpms and it feels like the ac engages but it doesn�t get cold.

I have a 99 c2. I just replaced my ac compressor and everything was working great for a few weeks but now I�m having an issue that when I turn the ac on I feel it change Rpms and it feels like the ac engages but it doesn�t get cold. I drive for a few minutes and I turn the ac on a off a few times and it finally turns on and I can hear the condenser working behind dash. Does this sound like a relay issue? Anyone have something like this happen

Sounds like you may be low on Freon. (possible small leak). If the Freon is low the compressor will not turn on (low static pressure), but after driving for a bit, the heat from the radiators will heat the condenser enough to raise the static pressure enough to allow the compressor to turn on and cool a little.( albeit very poor performance).. Have the system drained, (measure the Freon recovered), if low then test for a leak..

He said that it was working great for a few weeks, so it makes me think it might not be a/c related. When the ignition switch goes bad the a/c doesn't work properly. Just a thought, not saying this will fix your problem.
