Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Since then, I have hot heat, and cannot get cool air no matter what I set the temperature at.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

If you've read any of my recent threads, you'll know i'm dealing with heating issues. Specifically, there was a time a week ago when i had AC and no hot air, no matter what temperature I set it at. Since then, I have hot heat, and cannot get cool air no matter what I set the temperature at. The blower is fine and I can hear the condensors of the AC turn on when I activate the AC. The PO installed a fairly extensive audio system about a decade ago, and there's a ton of wiring behind the dash. I found one wire that is loose and wondering if its something related to my heat problem. Anyone recognize this? It doesn't appear to be a radio wire in my opinion, but I can't figure out what it's for. This is down on the passenger side of the car.

POST 2Original post

There are so many sensors and electric motors on the HVAC air box. Maybe you can figure it out from this diagram http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-p...section=813-05 After that, may have to look at the wiring diagram to figure it out by the color coded wires.

I think you've answered your own question. If I'm not mistaken, that multi-pin cable interconnected the earlier analog becker head units to a nokia equalizer. (see picture)

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That's the one! Thanks for showing that to me.....I wish i could rip all those wires out of there.....it's ridiculous how much is back there
