Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

19 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone know the proper name or part number of the Porsche name plate above the rear deck lid? Mine came off and broke in a car wash and I am trying to find a replacement. Cant seem to search for the right name!

POST 2Original post

try Suncoast https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/PKPORSCHEEMB.html

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No, that’s not it. It’s a metal / body plate inset with clips just below the rear windscreen and above the deck lid. All I can find is emblems / script logos.

POST 6Original post

Is that the filler plate that replaces the third brake light? I've seen some cars with wings that have a light have something similar to keep from having a double light///

If so, BumperPlugs sells plain unbranded ones in primer or paint matched. I have a primered one sitting on the shelf somewhere in my shop.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

YES! That is it, i have the aero kit so i guess its a filler plate.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Do you have a part number or somewhere to get one?

POST 10Original post

Quotes source post: 16013928

I can get you the part number when I get home from work. I bought it from Sonnen or Sunset. The part number I used showed it having the 'Carrera' script on it but the one I received was blank.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you much, appreciate it.

POST 13Original post

You...you took your car through a car wash!?! GASP!

POST 14Original post

If you need a blank one in primer, holler (PM). You can have it for what I paid for it, plus a buck or five for shipping.

I looked at the Aerokit parts list and it was Porsche not Carrera. My part number ends in '980.00' which the Aerokit parts list says is supposed to have the Porsche lettering. Who knows...

POST 16Original post

I Googled the number from the post above (996-604-980-00) and that one has the Porsche imprint: https://www.porschepartsused.co.uk/e...04-980-00.html

POST 18Original post

Sometimes you have few choices, like driving in the rain,, I live in Oregon, no matter how nice t he day starts,, Portland is 60 minutes by cloud from the coast,, It can be 100 and switch to rain here during lunch.. We have several brush-less ones in my area that I occasionally ran my BMW through especially during the winter to wash the road slime off the car. The do a fair job at keeping the paint job de-grimed ... That being said ,, the Cab isnt going through,, cant imagine that much water if it blew in the wrong spot..

POST 19Original post

Here's the picture. We did this (the 3rd light) and the '911' script for this customer years ago. The raised script is no longer offered but the unscripted is available and we still offer it.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
