Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Do you guys have a cover over your cabin air filter? When I remove the plastic cowl cover piece, that connects to the middle plastic piece that covers the battery, I can see the air filter. But i just noticed that it looks like there's supposed to be a cover, specific to the cabin air filter. Does anyone have a pic they could show me ?

There is no cover or cap for the cabin air filter. Clean your drains while you are in there.

Mine looks the same but I agree, seems like it needs a cover. The clip on the inboard side looks like it would accept a cover of some type. Strange!

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys! Mine is the same. I had noticed the other day that it looked like it had grooves and holes on the side of the plastic that holds the airfilter and it looked like a cover is supposed to attach to it. I guess not! Drain holes are cleared out! Good to go for the fall.

POST 7Original post

Mine is the same and I've always wondered if it was missing a cover too. Drains cleaned Saturday!

POST 8Original post

Mine's the same, in the later years, I think 997's, they started covering it more. But that's correct for our cars.
