Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'Use carls' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use carls' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Back on the forum! Just repurchased my 02 from the dealership where I traded it. Feels good to have it back. Just put about 70 miles on it. Took the long way home!
Still have the other car. Its still in the shop. No big surprise there. Guess it was meant to be looked at, not driven.
Pictures are on the way.
Hey everyone,
The story is this:
Kept the lambo but got tired of having a sports car that i couldnt drive. The problems with the car are all covered under warranty, but still a pain. It is supposed to be out of the shop (again) tomorrow. Its will become the new garage queen.
My Porsche was still at the dealer, they had it sold to a wholesaler who backed out of the deal. When they put my car back up for sale, I offered what they gave me as a trade. No dice. Paid a 1000 more than trade and yes, i had to repay the taxes. I'm going to chalk it up to experience and lick my wounds.
I know what I had done to the car and am comfortable taking the hit.
Glad to have the P-car back. Have driven almost 250 miles since yesterday and havent had to take it in for repairs once
Good to be back on the forum.
You didn't lose any money on the taxes since when you traded it, you got a tax credit for the trade value. So you really only lost $1000 plus taxes on that. Not bad. Sorry to hear about the Lambo though.
Good point Mitch. Makes me feel alittle better. My garage will never be without a P-Car again.
Dell, Not in Vegas anymore? Ever use Carls for any porsche work? have heard good things.
I didn't quite understand ...
Step 1: Trade in p-car for lambo --> pay tax on the trade-in difference
Step 2: Buy a p-car (happens to be the same one) --> pay tax on the entire value of the car.
Am I getting something wrong here
Got a tax credit on Porsche when I traded. Rebought car and repaid taxes. I did pay on full amount of purchase. Came out of pocket about 3k(over trade in) to get car back.
You are right. Took me a few to do the math.
Michael,
yup....moved away from the desert a month ago. As for Carl's place, I did EVERYTHING there. Talk to Tony....he owns the place and will take great care of you and your car....and I used to spend ALOT of time there just hanging out with him and shooting the ****. Great place to have faith in for an indy. They ONLY do Porsche's and have been for over 30 years.
Easy to drive, dont worry about it being vandalized, good on gas and no jealous punks yelling "nice car ******" as i drive down the strip. Besides, need something to drive to Home Depot and the liquor store.
