if it's nothing serious, tightening the bolts may work for now.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Porsche PPI came back with "very slight seepage from bank one cam cover"...but does not warrant repair at this time.
Car is a 2001 C4 with 10.5K miles - is this anything to be concerned about?
Thanks!
This is common- Mine were leaking, so they re-sealed them with a new grade sealant (red in colour) and it hasn't leaked again -for 2.5 years anyway- One other thing you might try is giving the nuts that secure the cam-covers a little tweak, they may have come loose allowing oil to seep past.

the 'full' repair can be expensive. i think engine needs to be taken out so you are looking at a 4-5 hr labor at least. if it's nothing serious, tightening the bolts may work for now. I'd factor the cost into the purchase and buy a good warranty that would cover it for 2-3 yrs.
Umm.. I don't think thats correct djantlive. The cam -covers are re-sealed with the engine still in place. Mine certainly didn't have to come out.

Mine put a small dot on the floor every two weeks from this, I tightened it up just a bit... I think it worked. Maybe at some point I will have to see the Dr, but for now, its no big.
Seepage is common, when it's dripping on the floor and creating a slippery and dangerous situation like my Harley, you may consider having it fixed ;-)
I know! My M3 has 108k and has never leaked, seeped or dripped anything. I plan on keeping it until it blows up and the wheels fall off.
If the Porsche wasn't a Porsche and wasn't so much fun, I am not sure how I would feel about it leaking.
