Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

Was considering buying a new Cayman S a couple of months ago, great car, but was afraid of steep depreciation and thought it could use more power (the base Cayman would be way underpowered for me)

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I saw some info today on the Porsche site about the Cayman (non-S). The Cayman is 2.7 L engine with 245 HP versus the Cayman S at 3.4 L and 295 HP. Not coincidentally, there are the same figures as Boxster and Boxster S. It did not say, but I am assuming these are the 2007 models.

POST 2Original post

Yes Tim... theyre going to be in the 50K range.. they'll have quad type exhaust tip and black front skirt..hmmm i bet if you option that out to the max you can buy base CaymanS.lol

POST 3Original post

yes, they are 07 models, I believe they are availalbe August 1. Base price is $50k. Hope they sell better then the Cayman S. Was considering buying a new Cayman S a couple of months ago, great car, but was afraid of steep depreciation and thought it could use more power (the base Cayman would be way underpowered for me) My local dealers have about 12 to 15 Cayman S' in stock and are give about $5k off sticker.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
