Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

The cell phone wires should run from under the dash back through the square hole in the center console brass looking piece, maybe the connector end is further back towards the base of the shifter.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

trying to hardwire my V1 on 2003 C2 cab with bose premium sound. i took off the little carpet cover (to the left of the center console) but didn't see the connector (checked it out with flashlight). according to itzkirb, i should see it but i didnt: http://gallery.rennlist.com/gallery/albur30 http://gallery.rennlist.com/gallery/albur30/DCP_3252 do i need to remove the center console and/or stereo to access cell phone connector holes or some other pieces? am i simply blind? any hints greatly appreciated. thanks!!!

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i think i just answered my own question: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index...indpost&p=3812 i guess i have to look for a duct tape

POST 3Original post

In my 2000 Cab, I removed the small carpeted triangle by the passenger's left knee. The connector was immediately visible just behind it. I guess its possible that it is tucked a littlle further back from the edge .... but removal of nothing else is necessary to locate it.

POST 4Original post

Just snap out the CD holder and the storage cubby and look around behind there; mine was sitting right there.

POST 5Original post

The cell phone wires should run from under the dash back through the square hole in the center console brass looking piece, maybe the connector end is further back towards the base of the shifter. You should be able to see the wrapped wiring bundle going through the hole and trace the end. If not, maybe it got pulled out and is somewhere further forward now?
