Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

After months of deliberating, test driving, emailing, etc... I finally made a deal on a 2003 C4S. I am waiting for the PPI to be completed next week and if everything checks out then I'll fly out and see it, complete the sale, transfer ownership and arrange to get it home. Here's the facts: '03 C4S coupe Artic silver/Blk private car w/15 mths OEM warranty, no cpo, but in Canada already. options (all factory ordered): Bose Auto dim/rain sensor Xenons crest seats PSE stainless door sills sport shifter full leather silver instrument faces silver gauge trim rings ext matching rear console quad look stainless exhaust tips Coloured Porsche crest center caps Porsche aluminum valve stem caps bumper plugs Hopefully all goes well and it will be home before the end of March. Looking forward to my first p-car!

POST 3Original post

Congrats, I hope the PPI turns out, as I am sure its perfect.

POST 4Original post

I hope your PPI checks out okay! Looking forward to the pictures.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'll be posting pictures next weekend when I get to take some with my camera...I know the rules! Actually I'll try to document the whole journey with pictures from shipping to arrival home. I need to find the best way to get it from BC to Toronto. Any advice?

POST 8Original post

The longest combo of back roads with lotsa twisties!

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

...also before anyone asks, I just paid up for my rennlist membership through paypal. I guess it will show up sometime next week on my profile. I figure that if I own a p-car, I better support the site that's been invaluable to me making an informed decision.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

By far the best and most desirable advice, but my crazy schedule doesn't allow me the time to do the drive at this time of the year. My cars tend to be garage queens at the airport parking garage! But I do have plans for long extended weekend/holiday drives come summer.

POST 11Original post

Sounds incredible - hope the PPI goes without a hitch. Enjoy it!!

POST 12Original post

talk to hansens about shipping it by rail, should be about $680 in a closed rail car. we ship toronto to vancouver every so often and always use them.

POST 13Original post

Hey pongobaz, the best way to get the car from B.C to Toronto is to ....DRIVE IT!

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've heard of them before, but I didn't know if they handled (carefully) high-end cars. That would be a lot cheaper than the quote from TFX at $2300 in an enclosed "Nascar" type transport truck. When you've used them, have you ever had damage from transport? How do they pick up and deliver? Is there someone specific at Hansen you recomend I talk to? thx, Phil

POST 15Original post

Wow, sounds like a killer car, very nice options - how many miles?

POST 16 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

39K kms or approx 24k miles.

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not home yet, but the deal is done! Just a few pictures I took today in Vancouver.

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

...drove it and luckily it turned into a beautiful day in Vancouver; love that PSE and SSK! It just purrs. What a perfect car; not a blemish in the paint, interior, etc... looks like it just came off the showroom floor! Now the long wait begins until it gets home. I'll post more (better) pictures when it arrives.

POST 19Original post

Good for you. we can all get together this year.

POST 20 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That would be a lot of fun.

POST 22Original post

Nice P-car. First mod suggestion = painted bumperettes from Eric at BumperPlugs.
