if you want to be really sneaky about it, you can always goto Pfaff, and when no one is looking..hop in a carrera and give the **** a lil twist...then run like hte wind

Hi fellow Rennlisters.
OK weird request here, I am looking for the Silver and or black button that goes on our E-Brake handles, you all know, it's the ones we push, don't ask how but I lost one..Cant find it anywhere, and I cant order it from Porsche..They told me I need to buy the a new complete handbrake, I will pay for it I am not looking for anything free.If anyone has one please o please contact me.I know there used to be a guy on e-bay that sold them , but I cant find him.

Paul - It's an omen. It means that you have to sell your car now. And because you are missing the brake button, you may have to take a SERIOUS hit on the price! Have you tried calling LA Dismantlers? They may be able to sell you one, or maybe they will sell you the whole brake handle for a "reasonable" price. Reasonable price... yeah, Right!
LA dismantlers don't do anything for a reasonable price and they do not do small stuff either, because it doens't make them any money......problem is if you need something and don't want to pay full price, like a headlight wiring harness for 400 bucks each side.....250 each side still is better.
I tried to get a bumper grill, which still retails for about 180 bucks and they don't even want to take a look!!
If you live in their area though you might want to go by....they try to tell you no at first, but they even gave me a dead pedal (plastic) for free....after they overcharged me by 150 bucks for a 3 spoke steering wheel.

Hi, I gotta run. This part is just sitting on my shelf. I would like this transaction to demonstrate the value of being a Rennlister. I have learned SO much and saved so much money that I want to pass that karma around. I am going to a memorial service for a friend of mine who skiid into a tree last week. I will check back tonight.

^ Funny you said that I am talking to a guy that will make them in carbon fiber, I just need to get him the button to copy, He thinks they will be pretty cheap, I told him to make me 10, I will pay for them let me know who wants one....I am thinking I will cut the the handle off the stock one i have to see if i can get the button off to duplicate.Thanks so much for the offer Steve, I might take you up on it and I am sorry to hear about your friend.Tim I would buy it I just cant find the damm thing!
Thanks for your thoughts. Instead of the $400 the dealer would charge you for these parts, you could pay me $70 bucks for the whole friggin assembly, and I would take pay pal, AND ship to Canada?
