Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello everyone,
I have been researching for a couple of months now, reading this forum on a daily basis. I wanted to say thank you for educating me on my upcoming purchase.
I am located in Montreal, canada, and the car I am considering is in Coral Gables, Florida. Its an 02 lapis blue/savannah beige cabriolet, with 16,000 miles. the option on the car are as follows:
M6F - Metropol Blue Floor Mat
476 - Porsche Stability Management
X45 - Instrument Dials-Pntd Int Clr
446 - Wheel Caps with Colored Crest
XSC - Porsche Crest in Headrest
X76 - Flared Rocker Panels
Y06 - Alum/Lthr Shifter/Brake Handle
P05 - Advanced Technic Package
C02 - U.S. Standard/Emissions
XSA - Sport Seats Painted To Match
Z84 - Stitch F/R Seats - Dev. Color
750 - Delete Cabriolet Hardtop
Z34 - Deviating Carpet Color
P77 - Leather Sport Seats
411 - 18" Lt Alloy Carrera Wheel
XME - Rear Ctr Cons Painted Extr Clr
They are asking $62,900 but have stated theyd let it go at $60k even. The car is CPO, but Im not totally sure if it will be covered here in Canada. What should I offer? I am really hooked on this color combo, and its near impossibe to find locally. The only car here I can find costs about 5k more, with ONLY the p03 option, and no CPO. Thats 5k more AFTER duty, shipping and conversion.
You guys are the experts, so what are your thoughts?
I just bought an 02 cab and I wanted only white. I ended up looking for over 6 months and driving 300 miles to get it. I am sure that in the end I could have gotten a similar car a little cheaper if I was willing to take something else. I bring this up because I think that you could find an 02 cab for less; however, you would not have exactly what you want and in the end it is not worth it. Finding the exact color and options is hard especialy if you are not picking silver or black. I say if the car passes a PPI and it is what you want then the price is not bad.
I would suggest a PPI on any Porsche you buy, CPO or not. You don't want your car at the dealership being repaired every month because you didn't get it checked out before you bought it.
I'm very interested in oppinions on that too. Looking at a 02 cab myself, and they live 400 miles from here.
Tough when you look for a special color combo and the right milage/price/option list
I would try to find a good indi Porsche mechanic if possible, there is nothing in it for them whether you buy the car or not except the money you are spending on the PPI. Don't get the PPI done by the same dealership you are buying the car from.
