Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My TIP TCU issue has returned a year later.... https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...er-lockup.html I have since moved and have no dealer with 100miles. Looking for what is required if I wanted to reset the TIP TCU adaptive values myself? Can anyone confirm that a Durametric can do this? Any links to what I should buy> Whatever it is has to be cheaper than the speeding tickets I am risking... trying to drive the car "aggressively" enough to learn "good" torque converter values....... Thanks in advance.

POST 2Original post

Here is the Durametric matrix for the 996 http://www.durametric.com/modelfeaturematrixv6.aspx#996 Maybe you should call them and ask

Yes I looked at that earlier and it made me even more confused. Mine is a 2002. I think you are right phone call might be warranted.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Called Pelican (I was calling them for other parts) they were not sure. Called Durametric, very nice dude answered. He looked it up and confirmed, yes the Durametric CAN reset the learned/adaptive values for the 02-04 Tiptronic TCU. I ordered one... should have it Weds.
