Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I checked all the tolerances and they were within spec.
Leading evidence: 'Check tolerances and they were within spec' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust gap' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I took it all apart again cleaned the clutch really well with brake cleaner, reinstalled and torqued to specs.

I used the 1 spacer in the clutch plate that was in there, tourqued to 14Nm as the book says.

Suggestion
Not sure how much you spent on the clutch/bearing but if you decide you need to replace the compressor with the whole assembly, compressor, clutch and bearing go to Rockauto.com.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey guys, i just replaced the bearing in the ac clutch pulley. It went really well until I reinstalled everything. I used the 1 spacer in the clutch plate that was in there, tourqued to 14Nm as the book says. Turned on the car pressed the air button, nada. The clutch didnt engage. Took out the pressure plate premoved the spacer torqued back to 14NM turned on the car, compressed and air worked. Turned off the ac button, ac compressor stays on. So good news the AC works and keep me cold right now but I would like it to function properley. Any ideas? Thanks
Measure the air gap between the out clutch hub and the face of the pulley in 3 places spaced 120 degrees apart
without the shim (spacer) and with it in, using feeler gauges: What are the air gaps:
A) without shim spacer
i)
ii)
iii)
B) with shim spacer

And, how many miles are on this compressor?
Thanks so much. I checked all the tolerances and they were within spec. I took everything apart again. Sprayed the clutch down with brake cleaner put it back together. Same result. Thought my compressor was toast. I was turning on the compressor button to test... nothing. Then just for the heck of it. Turned the ac completely off thinking I will order a new compressor, wife flipped ac on and it was blowing cold?? Got out and looked and sure enough the clutch was engaged. Its been working fine since???? Who knows. Thanks again.
Not sure how much you spent on the clutch/bearing but if you decide you need to replace the compressor with the whole assembly, compressor, clutch and bearing go to Rockauto.com. A couple of years ago when I had to fix my AC I bought a Denso compressor with everything for $265, the list price from Porsche is $1665 and the clutch is $848. The DEnso unit from Rockauto.com is the exact smae unit.
Did you replace the solenoid inside the clutch? The insulation on the windings will break down over time. If it stops working again, that would be the next component I looked at (after I ensured it wasn't the electrical connection to the clutch). You can hot wire the clutch to see if it engages or not.
Thanks guys. Got it working. I took it all apart again cleaned the clutch really well with brake cleaner, reinstalled and torqued to specs. Turned on didnt work. Went for a drive and turned ac completely off. Wife got hot and just turned on ac and it worked. Its been working since. I am wondering if I had to cycle the ac off and then back on to cycle the mag? Will continue to watch but seems good.
