Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

When you're using your harness and don't have the seat belt connected, how do you deal with the seatbelt warning light? Did you find a way to disable it or do you just ignore it?

POST 2Original post

call up salvage yard buy a male seat belt buckle off late model VW. plug it into the female receptacle in your porsche. or pull your oem belt around the back of your seat and plug it into the female receptacle.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That's too easy. Isn't there a preocedure that requires me to drop the engine and cut and re-solder a relay every time I go to the track? Seriously, Thanks for the quick response.

POST 4Original post

Honestly, I don't even see it anymore. Too many other inputs to even notice the non-blinking, non-sound making red light. With more seat time, it will "disappear".

POST 5Original post

Mooty's method will work, but it is not very exciting. Your method may be too labor intensive to do on a regular basis. Another way to do it would be to reach up under the dashboard, grab a hand full of wires and pull HARD. If the light does not go out, repeat the process until the light is extinguished! Works EVERY time!

POST 6Original post

if i dont use the method described earlier, my warning light stays on and a tone gones on every so often. it often scares me when the tone comes up. that's why i am desperately trying to disable my TPMS on cayman. i KNOW it will come on mid track session. even knowing that, i get scared when it comes on. not good when you are trying to concentrate on staying on pavement.

POST 7Original post

ROFLMAO, this is why i love rennlist. i am gonna go try it with my TPMS light. perhaps that may even cure the CEL.

POST 8Original post

The deal with the buckle is how big a bag you'll get if the air bag deploys. No belt plugged in means full bag every time. If the belt is plugged in then below a 'certain' speed you get a half bag. Info from dealer.

POST 9Original post

Yeah, but if she's REALLY ugly, then you get two bags! Oh, wait... you weren't talking about dates and.... oh, never mind!

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

After the 3rd attempt using your method, the seatbelt warning light went out. Thanks for the great tip!! Now, my horn and rear speakers don't work. Any suggestions???

POST 12Original post

I just run the seatbelt behind the GT3 seat, and plug it into the receptacle as usual. Volia: no light, half-size airbags.

POST 14Original post

First of all, glad I could help! Second, we don't need no stinkin' horn! Third, get a set of PSE mufflers, then you won't miss the rear speakers! Are there any other questions?

POST 15Original post

Gotta love Rennlist, if just for the entertainment value alone.....
